Look guys the plate tectonics are impossible all it needs is a pocket drop into hotter material there could be a drop in a whole plate.
Remember we were a rock and then a basic water word without land then it adapted over years , they find stuff in deep core drilling right? Fossilised things.
We're on a rocky water ball floating in space pressurised , plus there's a whole space near Indian ocean that's gravity is different to the rest of the world , its too many variables even our position in space effects the planet

I like this one tho Mike specially the time one , why haven't the added gravity to the Fermi paradox I mean like gravitational waves of being closer to these black holes time dilation. Look at it this way all these galaxies around black holes , let's say 100 light years away the light taken to get to us is 100 years but the time dilation could mean these planets are just like us it's 2023 there similar to our timeliness

Among my all time favorite quotes is one I found in a science magazine around 1982 or 1983, simply attributed to "A professor of Astronomy at a university in Florida" (which I found interesting also): "After devoting my life to studying the mysteries f the universe, I'd like to think Heaven will be a place where I can say, 'OK, I give up. What *was* the answer?' "

Regarding time: My college physics teacher described time as such: Time is a construct that is an agreed upon criteria based upon the understanding that those experiencing it will experience it at the same rate, which will differ for those experiencing different external factors, or experiencing external factors differently than others.
In English: Time differs for those that have outside factors influencing it. A particle traveling near the speed of light will experience what we call one second much slower than we do, but to the particle, that is merely what one second has always been. The same for us, one second is always one second, simply because that is what external factors deem it to be.
So, time exists, but not as it’s own concept, it’s existence is due to external factors (gravity, speed, etc)

@@bear4759 So there is space where space has not expanded too yet? And how could there be matter when nothing with matter has made it to that point yet? I am not saying you are wrong. I am just saying that we as humans with our human way of thinking can't picture absolute nothing. I mean no light no matter no dark no anything because space has not reached that point as of yet. I am actually starting to scare myself because thinking about where the hell we are and what is in the void after space is terrifying..

@list25 it a fallacy to say it's mathematically logical to assume there is other life. Sorry thats ur feelings pretending math says anything of the sort. We have zero math showing we should expect to see more life in universe just because it's so big. It's a logical fallacy.
For all u know intelligent life is like a human being born with 3 legs, just because 1 human was born with 3 legs and there is billions of humans DOES NOT mean at all that we should have lots of other 3 leg humans among the billions. For all u know intelligent life is a mistake of universal evolution or for all u know the universe just wanted to create a party of itself that could reflect on itself which is us and that's it. again there is zero math and only feelings and faith that makes one think ooo there just must be other life.
For all u know life itself is ad unique as a single humans genetic code, which is 1 among a number so unfathomable u can't comprehend. Intelligent life code be even more rare than ur genetic code being selected amongst the vast vast number that would produce not u, I.E no life

Thank you, nice to see I'm not the only one who thinks that aliens don't have to be more advanced then us or even as advanced yet. I mean as i said myself here, they could be in their version of the middle ages or even the time of ancient Egypt, we can't just assume anything really! I think a lot of that kind of thinking comes from the whole UFO thing, even scientists who may not believe in them, are using the idea of them when looking for worlds with intelligent life. I mean sure we do still have to find a world that can have life, as in something other then microorganisms or whatever, but actual living breathing thinking lifeforms, remotely like ourselves. But when we do find one, we have to keep in mind that they might not be advanced enough for us to pick up any signals from them, like of radeos or other things we might expect to find on a world with an industrial type society!

Even if you travelled to a place where time doesn't exist you just have to ask, "How long . . . was I there? . . . has it been like this? . . . etc?" then time exists.

Multiverse theory - There may be infinite multiverses, some closer to ours than others. Although we can't see them because they are on different planes of existences, the ones touching can feel each other's effects:
    * We know very little about gravity, but we do know that a large source of gravity creates a "dip" in the fabric of space which may be seen as a "bump" in a nearby multiverse and vice versa
    * Our universe's dark matter is their baryonic matter and we sense their existence due to their gravity affecting our baryonic matter.
    * Our universe's dark energy is their expanding space affecting ours
    * Conversely, our universe baryonic matter is their dark matter and our expanding space is their dark energy.

It's always good to ponder our amazing universe. Science has come a long way, particularly these last 100 years. Our biggest obstacles are ego getting in the way. Like, "Dark Matter" It seems this is the go to for everything science can't explain. When we continue to work with an erroneous theory, the outcome is always going to be wrong. Science needs to go back to the drawing board with many things. The proton, gravity, and the strong force. My gut says something fundamental on the basic level is wrong. When we figure it out, many other phenomena will be solved.

So I think that antimatter may actually be more of the Dark Energy we talked about. But rather than being like combining to cause explosion what if it's more like magnetism. What if rather than combining to cause radiation they push like a magnet would and that's what's causing the great expansion. I mean why not anything's possible Right

Entanglement provides a very probable loophole to the rule against faster than light communication. If we develop technology capable of controlling the spin of entangled particles separated by any distance, no matter how great, then binary communication could occur instantaneously with no regard to any limitations imposed by spacetime constraints, including Einstein's constant... "C".

Throw some theories out there, huh?
How about this one. Time exists and doesn't. Time is a human concept, it helps us to keep track of the day, week, month, and years.
If two people are no a flat train car the train is going 40 mph and they are throwing a ball back and forth. They are both throwing the ball at 60 mph. When the ball is going towards the front of the car it's only going 20 mph, when the ball is going towards the back of the car it's going 100 mph. But to someone on the ground next to the train the ball is going 140 mph toward the front of the car and 60 mph toward the back of the car, all of that at the same time. So the speed of light is not constant, it depends on your point of view. If we are going the speed of light and we shine a light ahead of us, that light would leave us behind, not just go the same speed.

New theory: Modified Gravitational Lensing or Time Well.
It is known that gravity bends time / space, creating a "dip" or well if you will.
My theory is that it is possible for a gravitational anomaly to occur that "accidentally" allows us to "see" different points in time.
Hence we would be able to See the past but not be able to interact or change anything as it has occurred and can't be altered, only viewed.
If the fabric of time and space are pulled down into a deep enough "well" the two distinct periods can be brought into a close enough proximity to see each other; if pulled down far enough the two points will even touch which would explain what some have referred to as "time slipping" . Once the anomaly stops - time ? space reverts back to its "normal" position and everything reverts to normal.
Would love to talk with DeGrasse Tyson on this, but I am just a nobody

    Continental Drift / Plate Tectonics….
Years ago, I used to have full fat milk in my tea. A strong cup of tea left for a while to cool would develop a film. That film would, if in a large enough mug, sometimes break up & drift about. Study that & you might have a study in plate tectonics also. Add into the model the coriolis effect and that it’s a globe not a cuppa and you might get a great computer model going.

I have a hypothesis about the tectonic plates.
Okay early Earth cools from being a molten ball. A uniform hard crust solidifies and mixing the idea that the Earth was impacted by a large body causing the formation of the moon also shattered the crust into plates. It would also explain irregular displacement of matter on the surface.
Now toss in salt water and you have lubricantion that gets under the plates causing them to move as hot magma rises and presses currents sling a ridged underlayer making the plates move with incredible force.
Pangia might be the remnant of that other large planet that wasn't completely absorbed by the Earth leaving the Earth lopsided.

A passing thought on the expansion of the univers. I often wonder if light and time are both waves, then as we look further into space those waves of time and light could begin to be streched by interferance from various factors, then to an observer it would appear that the univers is speeding up and therefor look to us that the expansion is speeding up and a longer wave length would cause a red shift which is associatedwith the expansion. Nonsense probably but just a thought.
