It really depends on the part of the milking season - I made a whole video about how much milk we get here :) ua-cam.com/video/TjPMy_GGzOM/v-deo.html And yes, I prefer the machine!
You mentioned that you only milk your sheep until the fall so you aren't getting milk over the winter. Do you store milk in the freezer for winter use or do you have to purchase milk during these months?
Yes, we froze some but definitely not enough to get us through to next spring so we buy milk from the store in the winter. :) In a way, it's nice to get a break and I can't see us milking in the coldest months, but we do miss the milk!
We generally keep the lambs with the mothers full time until they start drinking more milk and then we separate them for the day, and then we get more milk. We milk when they lambs are with their mothers in the beginning though, because it helps them produce more. So short answer: you don't have to separate them, but it helps you get more milk - we do it when the lambs are a little older. :)
I got mine in 2021, so it's possible that they changed things up since then. There's also a few variations between the large and smaller goat ones, too :)
How many gallons of milk are you getting each milking? Do you prefer the machine?

More about this, please, thanks
Thanks, will do!
Do you use standard or Nigerian inflations?
We use standard inflations :)
Doh have two separate the lambs from their mothers to get milk?

You are cool people...!
Thank you :)
Your inflations look different than the ones that came with my simple pulse last year.
