Intro Song: Home to Alabama Stephen Sylvester • Home To Alabama In this video I will walk you through the process I use to milk my sheep from set up, milking, and clean up!
Great video, and very nice mom and babies. I did worry about that nice shirt catching some bleach water, though. I'd have ruined it. Thanks for another informative video!
My barn sounds the exact same way in the am, so much ruckus! I have to say, I LOVE your folding milking stanchion. What an idea! Very cool. Also, that is clever to put the lambs in a kennel so they can't escape. I have too many lambs to make that work but I love the idea. Trying to lamb proof my pen is an ever evolving process as they grow. I have one ram lamb that always seems to figure out how to get out! What breed is your ewe? She looks like she has a nice udder and teats, and gives a good amount of milk. When did you start separating your lambs? Thanks for the video!
Yes! I built a machine that I milk both my Cow and Sheep on. The main difference is the liner size. Sheep and goats have smaller ones. If you are milking a dwarf goat then you might need a smaller liner.
I built my own. Here is a link to the video detailing how I did it. How YOU can Build a Milking Machine for LESS than $200 ua-cam.com/video/5td-kIvMyqA/v-deo.html
I do not currently have pulsation on my machine, but they way it is constructed it would be easy to add one. I did a video explaining why I choose not to have a pulsation system. That video is here ua-cam.com/video/ioWWCUlX4Is/v-deo.html

I would be lying if I said I haven't ruined a shirt or 3 cleaning up.

Can you disclose the name of manufacturer of the machine please
I built my own milk machine. I made a video of it here: ua-cam.com/video/5td-kIvMyqA/v-deo.htmlsi=3M3DYrrGertJaPZ4
Can the same mashine milk sheep and goats

Does sheep milk produce more cheese than goets and cows?
Yes it does. Sheeps milk contains more solids than both cows and sheep's milk.
What milk machine are you using?
I built my own. Here is a link to the video detailing how I did it.

Do you give the CDT shot
I do not. So far I have not had any issues.
Are these east Friesian?
They are a east Friesian Tunis cross. Dames were east Friesian, sire was Tunis.
Where did you buy your system
I built my own milking system from a HVAC vacuum pump and supplied at a big box store. I am currently working on a video detailing my build.
I am very interested in seeing that video! Do you have a pulsating pump?
I do not currently have pulsation on my machine, but they way it is constructed it would be easy to add one. I did a video explaining why I choose not to have a pulsation system. That video is here ua-cam.com/video/ioWWCUlX4Is/v-deo.html
