I'm very biased towards Jollibee. Popeye's is great but Jollibee is a little better. I think, many agree. Jollibee's chicken was chosen as the best chicken in the US in a recent poll conducted by a known foodie site.
If the Philippines popeyes branches have dutifully copied the original taste in the US, then I'd say they are very close to each other, you can just taste a tad bit more southern spices on the batter with popeyes, but the difference was too little to even compare.

Jolly spaghetti is made with Filipino catchup, banana based. Hence, it's naturally sweeter than tomato based sauces

By the sounds of things Popeyes in the US seems better than it over in the UK. The difference between the two was quite significant
