Sooo powerful! This is exactly what King Jesus - the loving "sacrificial Lamb of God" and "The Suffering Servant" - will say to His followers after our time here on earth has come to an end and will determine our eternal destination.... It's all about loving our fellow man and dying to self...(1.Corinthians,13) - with Christian love from the UK

Hi, Kim. It's from an album called 'Sydney Carter in Concert', which is available in the iTunes store.

So good to have this - I remember hearing Sydney singing this many years ago in a folk club. Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up then and it still does today.

We agree Brian; in fact, there is a great recording of Sydney Carter singing this song and we're tempted to make and upload a video of it.

Whoops! Brain fade... We'd forgotten that we decided to use Carter's own recording here. 😭

@@ChetValleyChurches Oh, I know the problem - I suffer from it! I used this at our Morning Prayer yesterday (St. Cuthbert's Seascale) and it was very well received, particularly the verses we don't get in the hymnbooks! Thank you for your channel, you help me so much here in our remote corner of the North West.
