My wife & l have a homeless/help the poor ministry in D.M. The Open Hands Ministries. The need outweighs the workers & the clock. Beautiful song, my friends. SHALOM to you.
I first learnt this at junior school 1977-1981. The key is E minor; I like the change to E major at the end which was not played in the version I knew. This is known as a Picardy Third. I have perfect pitch and remember tunes very well, especially the little details!
I have a new verse for this song (If I was disabled, were you there) because I know how badly people in wheelchairs get abused all the time, and I would love to be there for someone in a wheelchair and in need
Would it be all right to use your video of this hymn in a series of services about Climate Justice throughout the Strathclyde Methodist Circuit (with correct acknowledgement of course) some of which may be online?

I think of this song every day, and I try to tell the message of the song to someone else every day, especially when they are mean or raised 😭
This means more now than it ever has and I learnt this in the 80's
Peace love and light to you all ❤️❤️

Same for me, we didn't sing a key change at the end either. Take a look at this version - it's beautiful: ua-cam.com/video/aDAAvWbmmxw/v-deo.html
Were you there? ❤️🙏☮️

Absolutely fine Barbara, please feel free to use any of the songs. Every blessing in your worship.
Thank you so much. I hadn't given it a thought, but one of the groups puts his services out on Zoom!@@CornerstoneMethodist
