I’ve had majority of my holdings in tech stocks and irrespective of market changes, I’ve done pretty well especially with apple’s P/E(price to earnings ratio) gaining over 30% this past decade, now my questions is what stocks do you think will be the next apple in terms of growth for the next decade.

It might be difficult finding the next apple within the tech stock sector, apple has performed way better than the others, maybe look outside of tech stocks.

for a lot of detailed documentations on such systems, and already very good coding models, idk if a model that is fine tuned on system specific errors and their possible solutions, give the context are very far away, there are already companies working on B2B models with pretty great models out there. I do not think human interventention might go away soon but the volume of folks working on stuff is for sure gonna get slashed.

Logically why would you spend a crazy amount of money to replace someone’s output as opposed to spending half the amount of money to increase someone’s output. Now you get more from the person you are paying Pennies which means more profit and now you didn’t spend as much on AI as you would to fully replace them (meaning more profit from maintaining less complex systems). You have to understand overhead costs and how businesses/rich people do not want to spend money….unless it makes way more money…

I am one of the people who profit most from the coding AIs. I am a computational Biophysicist facing a high diversity of coding tasks in scientific context. So far, AIs (the paid OpenAI AIs) really suck at inventing algorithms or writing longer coherent code. But they shine at knowing some stand-alone one-liners and technical details that mediocre programmers like me might not know.
In this way, people who cannot code themselves right now have an infinitesimal chance of ever producing a code that does what they want by only „talking to the AI“ (as one of the presenters depicted the future of coding).
However, already now, I feel AI brings me closer to the level of real programmers. E.g. I quite effortlessly did some CUDA parallelizing that would have taken weeks to get into without AI help.

People been saying that "coding of apps and websites" is dead for >20 years now (yes, I'm *that* old). And while a lot of stuff got way simpler (e.g. now you can build a very capable and great-looking Wordpress website without writing a single line of code) both of these are very much alive and going through higher sums of money than ever. Simply, a lot of tiny companies that were doing garbage work went bankrupt, but everyone remotely competent still swim in cash.

I use AIs (paid ones from OpenAI) a lot to assist me with coding. AI taught me a lot of useful tricks but it is yet entirely unable to write longer scripts itself. It can only help with stand-alone technical details and single standard lines of code. There it is really useful.

@@janbugel3283 meh... They made everyone feel more isolated and lonely, made more women into whores and caused a massive increase in suicide rates. They addict people to meaningless media sites for billions in ad revenue and are used to track our every move if the government and big tech so agree to do. It's hard to say the benefits outweigh the harms.
