- WARNING: This is just 10 minutes of me introducing a new long term project in my shop.
I'm going to be upgrading a 1985 Chevy G-Body El Camino and entering it in Autocross events.
I went to great length to find someone to measure clearences and have the answer to "how big a tire can I put on a G-Body without rubbing or modifications?"
I will still be doing shop and machining videos. In fact, I am almost done with the next video on the plasma table. - Навчання та стиль

Hey Preston, great job on the El Camino project video. I’m gonna hang with you and watch it so do a good job. Wish I knew something I’d come up and help you.
Looking forward to seeing your progress on the Elco. I am switching from a modern FWD turbo car last season over to a G-Body for CAM-T duty this coming year. I like the approach you are taking with testing the mods on the track as you make them over time.
I missed the last event so things will progress slow. I had hoped to do some upgrades over the winter....like the full set of coilovers I have had for almost two years now.
Love the body style of the ElCaminos. Should be a great project. I have a 1997 Thunderbird that my wife bought new off the lot. It has been driven by everyone in the family at one time or another. Now she wants it restored. I feel your pain.

Olivia is going to be SOOOO excited to see this video. Every time we pass an ElCamino, she always comments. I think her first love is still the Ford Ranchero. Going to look forward to watching this series!!!! Keep em coming.
