Just FYI, once you've selected an individual engine you don't need to use individual controls for it. And the same goes for if you're using individual controls, you don't need to select individual engines. :)
Very nice! I live streamed my first attempts. I just let it auto-start, but will definitely play with doing more of it myself. It flies well, but yes, ground handling is tricky. I have a split throttle, so my next flight, I will have that all setup to have the engines on the two axes. I agree that I think that should help a lot. (Plus, should help on the Mosquito, I read somewhere that IRL they would ramp up the left engine a bit 'ahead' of the right, iirc to help with it's ground handling.) I am looking forward to a How To video on using the new autopilot and the Dive Bombing sight on this aircraft!
Thx for this. One comment, I understand (from other sims, I hasten to add, not from any real experience) that early jets in particular need to get their speed up to be efficient. I don’t know if the Blitz in IL2 is different, but I’d always get speed at a lower altitude then do a shallow zoom to climb, not allowing my speed to go below an efficient number. With the 262 in IL2, I think that’s around 475 km/h (IIRC - it’s been a while). I try to climb at that speed and if I drop below it, I level out until I’ve regained it. This is the first option given for climbing in the vid. I don’t know if the second option (climbing with flaps at a lower speed) is wrong in this plane but until either I’ve heard differently or have proven to my own satisfaction that a slow speed climb isn’t hugely inefficient I’m gonna stick with the ‘build speed then shallow zoom’ for any early jet. I really appreciate the info on startup - it’s not the simplest process in the Arado. The first few times I tried to take off, from a hot start even, I burst into flames :D.
That plane has a beautiful cockpit.
I've been flying this with the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo! IL2 will pick up both of them and rudder pedals, it's life changing!
Thanks for a great explanation .
Good stuff Chatty!

Chattytumbler, very concise thank you. Do some more please?
I'm still learning to fly this plane myself :) but I do intend to do some more tutorials for it later!
Thank You!

Nice video Chatty!
Thanks.
Very useful, thanks dude
thank you alot I really needed that
Hello! Could you do a landing video as well? Having a bit of difficulty with that!
The shift commands need to be mapped...
Why do both my engines keep quitting mid-flight a minute after air-spawn in quick mission?
Check your throttle settings, just jiggle the throttle when you spawn in and make sure it’s at 94%
cool basically same as 262
Hello Chatty :)
Nice video, thank you for that! 102.Rdd_Misi :)
