@@mikoajbach2629 I am assuming you are starting parked on an airbase. To rearm the aircraft you need to open the communication menu - the default key is \ but sometimes it is #. You should then see the option to 'rearm and refuel'/ You can load your plane from there.

@@aroga34 hi! I have just tested the mission and it still works in July 2024 :) I started playing il2 first as well, DCS was a big step up in complexity but the airplanes are amazing!

@@airsteve65 if the press when the countdown hits 8 seconds then that will be fine. If you accidentally press it before the ‘second’ countdown then just press and hold until the weapon releases.

Great question. I just checked and you are right, the kneepad method no longer works. The procedure has been updated. But since I load the plane on the ground, the mission editor method doesn't work for what I am doing. Thnaks again & I enjoy the content.

Yeah the patch has broken it. I see you’ve made a bug report on the forums. Hopefully we will get a fix next update :(

@@ChattytumblerTCW I saw your reply too. I was thinking that Im doing something wrong, and from 2 days I tried to explain what's going on and why it doesn't work, now its clear. Full procedure and qiuck mode doesnt work now. I hope we will see hot fix soon, in June Patch with Kiowa.

@@ChattytumblerTCW RB-04E has issue too, looks like all A2S missiles have a problem now :(

I've just tried again this morning and the recent patch seems to have broken the RB15. I get the same result, the missiles crash when they jink. I also tested the longer setup version using Bx7 and Bx8 waypoints and the missiles missed completely (when I was hitting 10/10 before)!

Have you landed at a friendly airbase? A neutral or enemy base might not reply to you.

Are you trying to use the ‘start bar’? If so, that no longer works - you need to start each engine individually by pressing the LH and RH Start buttons one at a time. I usually start the LH engine first and once the rpms have settled I go for the RH one.

Thanks for your question! The rudder and brakes are linked. If you are travelling in a straight line and want the aircraft to stop you would just hit the brakes as normal. For turning the aircraft while taxiing you need to hit the brakes and press the rudder. So, if you wanted to turn left you would apply the brake AND push your left foot forwards. The more rudder you apply the harder the brakes will squeeze and the tighter the turn. The aircraft is quite ‘light’ on the ground so you may see in the video that I am constantly tapping the brakes and applying a little rudder to keep the aircraft under control - if you leave the aircraft turning too long it can be hard to get it back in track without spinning out. Hope that helps explain it a bit better.

Probably not, but I do need to make some more missions using the improved maps :)

I did a bit of testing and the RWR should work every time if you follow the startup procedure. If the yellow RWR switch is off (see minute 03:50 in video) then when you select the RWR page it will say something like 'RWR Standby'. If the RWR looks like it is on but still no sounds then make sure that all the blue switches behind you on the left are switched on (see 04:35 in video). If the 'bottom' four of these are off then the RWR will not sound even though everything else looks like it is working.

Hmm that is weird. I would recommend you do a DCS repair an see if that helps. also make sure you have version 2.7.50. If that still doesn't work you should report the bug to the devs at... discord.gg/codename-flanker-community-839196573228335185

Make sure your master mode is set to Air to Ground. Then, when you TDC forwards to make the HUD your active sensor then the AGR mode should activate automatically. Enjoy strafing like a sniper! :)

Great question! I have an Nvidia RTX 3080Ti. My processor is an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, my motherboard is a Rog STRIX B550F and I have 32gb of 3600Mhz memory. As I don't use VR I get to play with some really nice graphics :)

They come with the game :) Select ‘Mission’ from the main screen then select F-18. You should then see all the built in missions.

@@Mistermixmaster I haven't flown this mission in a long time so I just gave it another go. You are correct, the radio frequency doesn't work any more :( I just get a click of static. I'll report it on the DCS forums.

If you leave the switch forwards then the plane feels very 'light' and needs you to constantly adjust your heading/angle. Flicking the switch up and the plane feels like it has 'flight assist' mode - it is much easier to fly straight and level in this mode but the controls feel heavier as a result.

I don’t think I ever uploaded this mission. I’ll take out some of the mods (to make it more user friendly) and upload it to DCS this week :) I’ll comment again when it’s available.

Right now the mod uses Su-33 avionics for Air-to-Air and Su-25t avionics for Air-to-Ground. So you will need Su-33 if you want to do Air-to-Air operations. FC3 will also work. For Air-to-Ground operations, you don’t need to own any paid modules

It starts with keybind fine. Whatta. Yesterday I had it some how starting with those crank buttons but havnt really got idea how I did it (just pressed buttons till it started one right engine :D) SO Is there even any way to startup without keybind (alt+home and ctrl+home by default) in dcs 2.9.x (latest OB)? Any clue?

@@lasselahti4056 the latest update stopped the startup lever working. To start your engines you need to press and hold the left engine button until you hit 20% and then put the throttle into idle. When that engine is at 70% you can do the same with the right hand engine. The developers have said they will make the start lever work again in a future update but that you will need to have ground power turned on. It doesn’t work yet.

Also displays now go on from "R/F"-swith, any other critical changes / errors known, what comes to usage of the plane itself. (I mean the aircraft, weapons work if they work :) ) @@ChattytumblerTCW

If the above has helped, I hope this is not needed but if not then. You need set-up the combination in settings> Special>Su-30. Once that is done. Search inside controls for ECM and bind the keys, remember you have to set dispenser on auto inside Cockpit.

The mod got updated today = the Start Bar no longer works. it will be added again when they add a ground power feature. You can download the latest version from the developers discord or directly from drive.google.com/file/d/1PKomsw7a-Xv9S7FaUx-dyAwxqxvu7J0o/view?usp=sharing You start the aircraft by pressing the buttons individually rather than using the ‘start bar’. If you hover your mouse over the engine start buttons you can check their proper name (Engine Start Left / Engine Start Right) and look for those in the key binds list.
