it's just one little nitpick, but you'd think after all these years of knowing each other, with both of them being adults, that they'd both be on a first name basis with other. Just a little thing is all.
It’s more manners then anything else definitely for parents of your best friend you have massive respect for calling them mrs and mr is a way of showing that respect until they say you can call me by my first name

I'm in my 30s.. and whenever I run into an old high school coach I still call them coach even tho i know their name.
It's a respect thing.
