This is amazing.. I think I'll start emulating what Mr KC does. I wanna learn to start using sounds from PC and not depend on some keyboard sounds. Thanks for always keeping our fire burning Sir. Many of us have gone so far in music because of your great impact in our lives. Much love to you from Nigeria 🇳🇬 *Please someone should tell me the name of the song. It sounds very familiar but I just can't remember it*
Much love to you and EVERYONE in Nigeria!!! Yeah man, computer sounds are much more resourceful and CHEAPER than buying new keyboards every 2-5 years!!! Thename of the song is “I Will Call Upon The Lord” Benita Washington!!! Much love again! 🔥❤️

We’re stronger together - Share your #1 tip for learning NEW songs in the comment section... also, SHARE this video with other musicians who you know can relate to some of these tips in this video!!! 🔥
Facts KC!! It’s called REHEARSAL! Meaning if you’ve never heard it before it’s not a rehearsal but practice!! Both are perfectly fine but rehearsals should be smoother than your practice.
Mannnnnn you better preach!!!! 🔥🔥🔥 For some musicians, I can see why they come to rehearsals not knowing the music in excellence tho… some of them unfortunately get the music a couple of days before rehearsal which most of this gospel stuff these days are super busy with a bunch of random licks and riffs, which takes most of us extra time to perfect.. BUT, if they’ve had the music in advance… they have absolutely no excuse not to come already locked and prepared!!! 🔥🔥🔥
You would have had more credibility if you would have used the acoustic piano so we could hear the chords. What you played could have been played by amature.
Sorry, I’m not seeking credibility… I’m glad amateurs could play it, which is why our channel is called “Pretty Simple Music” 🙏❤️ Side note: the MIDI file is free, you can change the sound to whatever sound you’d like to hear 😅
I use the same message!!! My pet peeve with churches is that the minster of music will make us learn a hard song we do it one time then months later call the song out for us to play at the end of service like it’s a song we play every week!!!
OMG BRUHHHH! I can't stand that either... These new gospel songs have 50 different licks and riffs then they expect us to "recall" all that from months ago!!! 🤣
Exactly... I love that concept and way of thinking!!! Also, it wouldn't hurt to figure out how it would be in different keys (just in case the director moves it up a few times at the end!!!)... Much love my bro!
hi i love your Video, please can i have the software you are using for demonstraion of chords please. i need tutorial on drop 2 chords, from basic chords to advance chord progression, an please the keyboard that i should use in my piano playing carrier. thanks kc i will be waiting for your feetback
My brooooo!!! Wussup man - yes, it's a blend of 2 sounds "Churchy" VST and our new and upcoming "Tour Blend" VST sound... and you're the real MVP, I'm blessed to know you and def praying for you and the fam... Much love and MANY blessings!!!
Thanks for the tips. I'm having trouble trying to midi the church's Yamaha DGX 650 to my iPad. It won't connect and I can't find any info on why it won't
KC can you put this on repeat for all churches? I Understand somethings can happen at the spur the moment but not every week. I believe you have to spend time preparing what songs to Minister not just put it together quick fast and in a hurry because you didn’t make time.
Yessir my bro! I miss those days of rehearsals and the choir on Sunday mornings!!! Covid almost killed choir rehearsals and everyone moved to ensemble praise teams…🔥🔥🔥
@@prettysimplemusic Facts. Mine went fully virtual with licensing commercial music. 🙄 LOL. The great thing about those chords and ideas is you can bring them to other genres across different projects. 🙌🏾
Can you please tell us how easy it is for you when you get to rehearsal after practicing a song in the original key to change the key on the spot bcoz the vocalist said it's too high or too low??
It depends on the difficulty of the song… Basic songs aren’t hard if you know your chord numbers… BUT…. A song like this would require time me to figure out the intro and the ending again in different keys… but the chorus and bridge are pretty simple…
Show aqui é do Brasil muito bom mesmo Estou na luta tentando aprender a tocar Desta forma sigo seu canal e tento extrair o máximo de conhecimento valeu mesmo

Please the Funk tune at the background till you showed your practicing video is very important to me. I need that. Please can you do a video of it or give it out for free download.
Kind of off topic but question…. I play keyboard for my church and wondered if you had any suggestions as I’m currently looking to upgrade to a fresher , more up to date keyboard.. Any suggestions? Would love the feedback , big fan! 🙏🏿
Yessir my friend... I like any keyboard from Yamaha... I haven't used sounds from a keyboard in over 5 years, as I mainly use computer... BUT the Yamaha Motif has always been my go to for a wide spectrum of quality sounds and keyed playability. Nord is pretty nice too, but pricey... Again, I've been 100 percent soft synth and simply use whatever keyboard that is provided as my controller... Much love!
Fantastic job, KC. So, I have to ask, how did you work out your notation system for writing up your charts? Some of it was pretty obvious (Key name + number for chords), other bits not as much. Would love to hear more about it 😀
Thanks Kenneth!!! Yes the notation is not as accurate as standard notation… This is a mix of The Number System, Single Note Hits and standard Chord Charting… I had a quick turnaround for this song so I also used some color notation that only I’d understand sinceI had to learn it on the fly…
Never done charting to learn songs. Any tips you can give on how to actually put this together?
Absolutely!!! I’ll put something together really soon!!!

OMG BRUHHHH! I can't stand that either... These new gospel songs have 50 different licks and riffs then they expect us to "recall" all that from months ago!!! 🤣
Me too. Difficult songs should be in some type of monthly rotation. That will also benefit the singers as well.
Me too, drives me nuts! Bad enough I don't get music maybe two days before rehearsal.
Remember those days I’m also familiar I wonder who started I used to get super heated when tht happened 🤦🏾
One advice I would give is , try and play the song in its original key natter what and try to add something more to make your version exceptional.
