Thanks for uploading this. u90KG Strongman is more "relatable" than in the other categorys. Dont get me wrong they are crazy strong but the weights are more human relatable. You get a grasp of how heavy it is. Open or even 105KG class is just to over the top for my taste. I really hope u90 get more attention in the next years to come.
Axle bar isn't a grip testing event usually in competition. It can be used to train grip in training yes but that's not the goal here. Speaking as a strongman fan and former powerlifter.

why straps with the axle bar? i thought the point of the axle bar was to train the grip.

Haven’t done one Axel deadlift event without straps allowed
Axle bar doesn't rotate and the width also shifts you forward during the deadlift. Making it harder to lift
