Wonderful tribute to Kobe, GiGi, and all the other poor souls who lost their lives. May they all rest in peace and may their families be enveloped with love as they deal with such an immense loss.
As a lifelong Lakers fan and Kobe fan, I don't usually agree on the things the Clippers do.... Especially when it involves things in Staples Center, but this was beautiful and had me crying again...
I'm an Uber/Lyft driver and I drove on sunday...drove from burbank, to the valley, to Brentwood, to santa Monica, to downtown LA that day...I'm born and raised in LA and I dont think I've ever heard the entire LA area so quiet
What makes Kobe more special is because he is really a hard hard worker he's always first at practices never late and Basketball is into his Heart never ever left him.
salgeezy I’m a lakers and clippers fan cause LA is still my city I honestly don’t get why people can only like 1 of the LA teams, I love my city and support both tbh
The silence was moving. I’ve been a Sacramento Kings fan my whole life, including during the rivalry. I only had “sport hate” for Kobe, but that’s because he didn’t play for us. I’m surprised at how hurt I feel, by the emotions it stirred. I’m so sorry... to everyone affected. “We’ll mourn for those, that never knew you”
I met you at the lowest point in my life. Your Mamba mentality inspired me and changed my life, like a mentor, encouraged me. As long as I think of you, I have the motivation to work hard. now. . . I can't believe it, your death. It's like watching a movie. Now, I sincerely wish you: rest in peace. Rest in peace Kobe 。
I'm a Lakers fan so there is no love lost between the two clubs, but that was very classy and touching. Well done Steve Ballmer and the Clippers organization.
This man touched so many lives on and off the court. Some of us have asked what if he lived longer, how much more would he have done? We will never know, but his death could inspire those to do much more than we imagined. Edit: thanks for the 24 likes
Rest in peace Kobe and Daughter. And to the others. God knows best. We are hurting for you Vanessa and family. We pray that God will give you the Strength to go on. Be strong for your daughters and the rest of the family. Blessings to all families. Amen!😭🙏💜💛🥰🙏
one of the greatest sportsmen ever. I love you kobe also because in your heart you always carried a pinch of Italy, since you grew up here with us. thanks Kobe ....... Thanks Legend ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
In my 67 years of living the only other man I can remember getting so much worldly love was Martin Luther King. . This young man will be loved forever and missed deeply. God Bless all 9 and may their lights brightly shine with the heavenly stars.
Since the tragedy happened there's been a bunch of emotions going on within myself, but what I am still not able to accept and comprehend is reading news and facts about Kobe saying he WAS instead of he IS..that sounds so absurd to me but really makes me understand what happened is true and not just a nightmare. Rest in peace Mamba and all of the victims, my deepest condolences to the families.
Thank you so much for SAYING everyone's name .. Usually they are recognized in phrases like...." Kobe Bryant , his daughter GiGi the other victims" ... Etc.
Thank you so much for doing such a kind gesture for a fellow man and also a housemate. You're truly one of the most favorite teams that Kobe truly ❤️ admired. Your kindness will show all over the world of how California is truly an honorable loving compassionate and full of fans not just Disneyland 💔
We all should accept it, take a deep breath and be grateful that kobe truly became a legend in our lifetime. I know he couldve done so much more, along with the others whos lives were lost. Kobe may be gone, but the moments he shared with us, the talent and wisdom he inspired will forever be alive
Growing up a Lakers fan, I've been watching the Lakers for as long as I can remember. I remember being glued to the floor, on my stomach, right in front of the TV every time when the Lakers were on when I was like 8, watching Kobe. I still find it hard to believe that he's gone..
I'll never forget when a push notification came to my phone to alert me of Kobe's passing. It was so fresh there was no coverage. Just thinking that Kobe passed was one thing. But the story kept getting worse. 1/26 was a tragic day. 🌹
America the beautiful once again we have step up and become 1# United something we haven't been in along time it's sad that it took losing people we love to bring this country back together but it's beautiful to see and watch the United States as a whole and not divided Kobe GiGi and all the Angels that lost there lives Sunday u our missed but will live in our hearts always ❤️
I’m gonna come at this different. I am not really a huge basketball fan at all. In the past 20 years, maybe has seriously watched a few hours of it. I keep up with it a little. But overall I am not a Big basketball guy at all. Never watched the Lakers at all. And even this news had me feeling bad. That’s how impactful he was. People who never were fans, or even watched basketball, felt something by this.
“Once you know what failure feels like, determination chases success!” -Kobe Bryant *August 23, 1978 - January 26, 2020* Can I get a “#8” or “#24” reply to pay respect for Kobe? 😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😪😪😪😪💔💔💔 I’m praying for the Bryant family and the families of the 7 other victims
I'm really glad the other victims are being remembered too
.... I hope the media will think and acknowledge them ALL by name. Right now the majority of the media are only saying Kobe and GiGi' s name.
A father, his wife and their daughter. An entire family simply gone forever. So heart breaking.
@velipulla He's talking about the other family... not Kobe's.
velipulla moron
@SabuPtolemy not an orphan she has an older brother who is a scout for the Boston Red Sox
Rk0788 k Don’t blame it on the pilot. He lost his life as well. The FAA should be held responsible for allowing him to fly.
SabuPtolemy The Chesters that perished had a son or brother as well. So he’s the only one left in the family

Thank you for sharing this. LA loved and will always love Kobe.
This sent chills through me , hard to stomach , still in pain , prayers to all families involved
I’ve been in tears the last couple days 😭😭😭😭
