And then they seemed to naturally move out of the friendzone in the first movie (I mean didn't seem forced) and then at the beginning of one epeisode, it was strongly implied they slept together cause you see Scully finish getting dressed and the camera pans over to Mulder who's still asleep in bed.
@@newtonshiggers I don't think he needed to or was ever in the friend zone. I think they had a thing for each other in the first episode, but did their best to ignore the elephant in the room and keep things professional.

very good! I cmpletely agree that the character Mulder had a great effect on the way of thinking of young people at the time , the interest and criticality on issues inspired by the program is lasting to this day. Thanks!
It was originally on at 8:30pm in Australia when I was a kid so my parents let me watch. I was bummed when they bumped it back to 9:30pm cos then I wasn't allowed to watch lol.
Living in the Netherlands, I've been able to rewatch the entire series on disney+ And I'm seriously happy about it, since I was only ever able to watch the occasional episode growing up. (Am 33 now.) Love the show. Love the movies. (Even the hated one) Even loved the relaunch, but sadly that got cancelled quickly. Keep it up! You got a new sub

even as a kid i knew there was sexual tension so thick between mulder and scully, i think that was on purpose, the showrunner i think intended for there to be something more.
I watched this show season 1-9 more times then i could count as a kid, mulder for me was a big influence i wanted to be like him a fbi agent never taking a vacation as i got older i found myself more interested in trying to get inside the mind of others, the second big take away is my belief in aliens but never accepting it always questioning it

My son once said that the X-Files is the story of Mulder's struggle to get out of Scully's friend zone.
To be fair, he never even really tried to.

I gave up on the x-files when they revealed that Samatha died when she was fourteen. He never got his sister back.
I only gave up on the Xfiles when David left the show.
The show should have ended right there, with Mulder looking up to the sky with that perfect look of peace, which Duchovny did brilliantly.
I think that was the Cover-Up.

I have all ten and both movies. The last two werent as good as the original six though,
