Thanks for the video. I’m running VRC on a Mac using parallels. I just plugged the controller to the computer and it worked perfect. No issues. I was using a dongle before and it would work at times and I constantly had to connect and re connect it to get it to work. Plugging the controller straight to the computer worked perfect.
Yeh work much better that way, I have see some users mention the response rate reads higher if you connect directly but it's just vrc pro does not understand a direct connection as when it was made you never had that option it's much better to use direct usb :)
Awesome video have not tried VRC as of yet but I'm looking forward to playing, with that said I wish I found this video a few weeks ago I would have never purchased the module to connect my radio to pc.
I'm waiting to get this receiver myself so that I could play vcr-pro properly and not have to use my keyboard or xbox pad, good video now i know how to set it up...seems like this game can run on even an old 486 PC lol... I'm running an nvidia RTX 3090 at 4k maxed detail with everything turned on and still getting around 500-570fps depending on stage.
Yeh flysky radios ( nb4, noble pro, G7P and ST8 ) all work well with vrc pro :) and yeh I run a 5950x CPU, 64gb 3600mhz ram and 3090 and play heroes of the storm lol
Hi again, struggling to get the marshalling to be via a button on the radio. I click on the field and it changes from Space Bar to z axis, I then hit the radio button. But when I go back to drive the button doesn’t work and neither does the space bar. Does the button being assigned need to be on a channel (3 or 4)?.?. any tips greatly appreciated. Thanks again mate
Hi you have to set it to a button not an axis, you set one of the Ch to a button on nb4 then look in Windows controller setting and see which controller button lights up when you press th button and assign that in vrc pro :)
I know this is old, but I had same issue with connecting mine. There was no USB menu in the settings. I checked the control panel settings and it was recognized as Noble. I did everything else mentioned in the vid and it worked fine. Cheers
Thanks for this. I just got into rc racing and am trying out a flysky noble to compliment my futaba. I need a way to practice between getting to the track so was exploring vrc. Now im trying to figure out if you can change the currency on the website to dollars vs the other or if I should just go through steam to get this as they have some nice looking bundles. I love your tip on trying the free version first though.
I'm using a Flysky GT5 and I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to get the steering around center "slowed down" enough to allow minor course corrections under full throttle down straights with a reasonable amount of control. I zeroed out the expo in the game and figured I'd use the expo in my GT5 to "soften up" the middle, but I haven't had much luck because nothing I've tried seems to make much difference. I think I understand the concept from using expo on mini quads (drones), but I can't get small movements of the controller's steering to be anything but twitchy at the car. I've tried positive and negative values for steering expo, because it seems that axis reversal in the game causes some things to behave backwards from what I'd expect. Some value in steering expo on my GT5 should allow me to get small controller movements around center to result in very little movement of the steering on the car until I get closer to full lock on the controller, correct? 🤷♂️ Any helpful hints greatly appreciated! 😁👍
Yeh your correct, but I'm not sure what if any of the settings work over usb with the GT5, it might be worth turning the sensitivity down in game but to be honest vrc pro is iffy at best and for me does not ever feel anything like driving an RC, it's ok to practice with but always feels off some how.
They removed it a few updates back, now when you connect to a pc it auto selects the usb mode you just have to start vrc pro and select the nb4 as the controller :)
Does the base charge or no lights at all? you have to make sure the usb port can supply enough power to charge and run the nb4 or you will over drain the batteries, you an remove the base and try to charge it on its self, also the secondary battery in the handle is removable its an 18650
@@WTFRCCars yes base battery was lit. It was working good and when I finished playing I removed the nb4 from the computer and recharge it used iPad charger. After like 30min charging I tried to start the nb4 and it won’t start anymore but the the screen is warm to touch even I removed the base battery.

You can use a y lead from ch1 that splits to 2 servos or you can set up channel mixing and have ch1 and Ch3 with a servo connected to each Ch and then use channel mixing to make them both act together.
Sure as of the later firmware on the nb4 usb mode is automatically enabled when connected to a pc and so you don't need to turn it on now it will just work :)
Any flysky or DM racing receivers that use AFHDS 3 will work, flysky fgr and gmr receivers are design for nb4, but ftr will also bind and work you just have to update them via the nb4 connected to a pc and use flysky firmware updater if you watch my tfr10 receiver update vid you will see what I mean :)
Latest firmware auto enables usb mode when the usb is connected to a pc :) turn on the pc, connect the nb4 and you will hear the usb detection sound, open control panel and goto devices you should see the nb4 detected as a controller :)
i used to race this track in texas all the time as a kid. soo cool that they added this track to the game becuase it was torn downlike 10 years ago.
👍 I bought the Noble NB4 and by watching UA-cam you taught me that there was a track thank you...
Glad I could help!

Yeh the nb4 uses usb so you can use it as a controller on pc for almost any driving game or sim :)
Thank you I got the mobile nb4. I’m stoked it’s taking forever to update. COME ONNNNnN

Yes it's been removed now as it does it automatically for you :)
Thanks I gave up on the game because of the lag. I will have to revisit and give it another try.
Yeh works well with the nb4 or pro

Have they changed the location of the emulator setting in the nb4 firmware? Can't seem to find it on the settings page.
You must be on old firmware as it's automatically on when you connect it to pc :)
I know this is old, but I had same issue with connecting mine. There was no USB menu in the settings. I checked the control panel settings and it was recognized as Noble. I did everything else mentioned in the vid and it worked fine. Cheers
@tophe7d yeh you no longer have to set usb to pc for it to work as the transmitter just detects the pc and switches it on
That usb option isn't there anymore, how do we connect it now to a PC?
On later firmware it automatically switches when you connect the pc usb cable :)
