Well, today you answered a question that has been bothering me, which is what is the difference between mixed connective tissue disease and overlap..so thank you! The first thing I've been doing lately is to check your vlog and see if you have today's video up yet. I think I'm getting spoiled from the daily posts but its been the only real help ive had since my recent dianosis. You are doing a great job of helping people feel that they aren't alone in this strugle. Your upbeat attitude and cheerful demeanor are a big bonus!
Hi Elaine!!! I am diagnosed with SLE. I am on hydroxychloroquine and Meloxicam. My daughter has Raynaurds and skin issues and epilepsy. We love your channel and she loves Wednesday❤❤
I’ve been following you for quite a while now, I find your content so interesting, but somewhere along the line I forgot that you have lupus as well. That probably explains why much of your content is informative for me. As someone else said, you have a great, upbeat attitude, and I need to remember that because I get so discouraged sometimes, especially these last six months when methotrexate was stopped because of elevated liver values. Saphnelo infusions and hydroxychloroquine just aren’t enough to keep my symptoms under control and because of the liver problem, I can’t take NSAIDs anymore either. Heating pads only do so much and I’m wondering if you have any suggestions for pain control that might be helpful. I wish you well on your journey, you certainly have a lot on your plate and you handle it so well.
I am on Methotrexate and I have such a hard time accepting to actually lower my immune system... After 4 doses, I ended up in the emergency room because of a skin infection... *_*... Oh, and I also had 2 retinal detachments at 22, and no one knew at the time what had caused them .....! Lupus is one heck of an illness..... A few interesting subject suggestions for your vlog: I would love to know your best/worst experience with a medication that you have had to take, and was there ever a situation when you received conflicting information from different sources about your illness or medications? Did you ever question one of your doctors and/or their advice? Stay strong, sending you spoonfulls of support!
Lupus is one heck of an illness, I totally agree! It isn’t an easy journey for sure! I’m so sorry for your experiences. Thank you for sharing with me. I love your suggestions. In fact, Sunday’s video is for you! Thank you for the topics! Sending you extra strength back my friend! Hugs! ❤️

Hello Elaine my name is Elaine as well I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis about a year ago and I am currently taking Orencia infusion but I've been getting a lot of flare-ups like swollen is in the legs pain all over my body especially in the legs and hips they have been giving me Prednisone for the flare-ups sometimes they work sometimes it doesn't but my question I have for you is how do you manage the pain when you get flare-ups and when you feel very tired not wanting to get off from bed how do you do it? Also my second question is how did you find out about your other health issues like your lupus or any other immune disorder I'm only asking because I would like to get tested to see if I have any other immune disorder
I know you must have limitations with dressing , shopping for clothes must be a burden, cane you do one on this and maybe hints and tricks and truths❤️ thank you and maybe kitchen hints too
