This quiz could have probably been expanded to 200 songs/artists and still had a high batting average in comments. From start to finish, the 70's were absolutely jam packed with great music from a variety of genres. Its's good to see young people scoring well here!
Aced it. A good mix of genres too. You could have added the Joker by Steve Miller band, Rocky Mountain High by John Denver and I'll be there from the Jackson 5, but otherwise a really good eclectic list.
32/40, half that I missed could only come up with artist or title. Other 4 were songs not familiar with, so perhaps not "popular" from Billboard chart standpoint, but "popular" is a subjective word. Fun and great selection of songs, perfect amount of time to guess to make it challenging (And I'm being honest, I'm a huge Beatles fan and admit pausing it because I couldn't place the Beatles song - sheesh! Marked it as one of the 8 I missed). Thanks!
I got 25/40, but I recognized 38/40. There were a few that I knew the artist or I knew the song really well but I didn't know the song title. The ones I got are below, spoilers for the quiz: 1: Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac 2: Stayin' Alive - Bee Gees 3: Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen 4: Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits 5: -- (I knew who it was but I didn't know what song) 6: Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin 7: Born To Run - Bruce Springsteen 8: Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel 9: (They Long To Be) Close To You - The Carpenters (side note, I hate this song) 10: American Pie - Don McLean 11: Rocket Man - Elton John 12: -- (I recognized it) 13: -- (I had no clue at all) 14: September - Earth, Wind & Fire 15: Father And Son - Cat Stevens 16: -- (I recognized it) 17: -- (I knew the song, just not the artist or title) 18: -- (I recognized it) 19: -- (I knew the artist, but not the title) 20: Let It Be - The Beatles 21: Mr. Blue Sky - Electric Light Orchestra 22: -- (I recognized it and it made me really mad that I didn't get it) 23: -- (I recognized it and I really should have known it) 24: Dust In The Wind - Kansas 25: Have You Seen The Rain - CCR 26: Heart Of Glass - Blondie 27: -- (Recognized it, didn't know artist or title) 28: Hotel California - Eagles (I would be a crime against Eagles fans if I didn't get this one) 29: Dancing Queen - ABBA 30: Highway To Hell - AC/DC 31: -- (I knew the artist, not the title) 32: -- (I didn't know this song at all) 33: -- (I knew the artist, but not the title sadly) 34: YMCA - Village People 35: Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd 36: Piano Man - Billy Joel 37: -- (I recognized it) 38: -- (It makes me mad that I didn't get it) 39: Heroes - David Bowie 40: Imagine - John Lennon (but slowed down to B major instead of C major)
Yes my man! This is the proper stuff. Im 21 and been listening to 60s and 70s since I was 8. Keep it up! No matter what your friends or girlfriends think of your music!
I listened to both your 70s and 80s quizzes and there was not one mention of RUSH who rules the airwaves even to this day. Next video should be a quiz about one song off each album.
you have to be a real music whiz of all different genres of music to get this. some i knew the group but not the song title. some i knew the song title but not the group. there were certain genres of music that i do not especially like so i didnt know the song.
I only got 18/40 knowing both the song and the artist. Well I think it's not bad for a 20-year old like me haha. But I guess I'll have to explore and discover more songs
Yes…. 60’s - 90’s have the best music in history. 60’s and 70’s are definitely the most “passionate” in regards to lyrical content as those were times of war while attempting peace through music, “exploration” (drug use hippie movement) and many historical events. 80’s was all about love, fun, and energy. 90’s brought on angst with “grunge” and “alternative” while also bringing the explosion of boy bands and many beloved one hit wonders we can’t live without.
I only got 20 correct answers. Too bad. This was the decade I grew up with. Should the quiz contain hits from billboard hot 100, I should have gotten higher score. Try getting the top 5 songs of each year of the seventies based on billboard next time. Just a request, though. Thanks anyway.
You're welcome and thanks for the idea, we'll be making lots more music quizzes and also new 70s & 80s quizzes with so much great music to appreciate and choose from. Thanks for playing Victor!

38/40. Great quiz. Being born in the early 70's helps, plus having older siblings. Great songs.
They didn’t have any Pink Floyd though smh
32 of 40. Most of those I missed I could only come up with either a song title, or an artist name but not both. Thank you for posting.
ok (y)
27/40...enjoyed it though. Love from India.
Great quiz. The 60's 70's were my hay days (being 75 now). I knew them all but could not name them all and the groups. Got about 20.
Dude I was like 4 years old,got some of them, but not all
Born 1975 and have a big love for the decade.
TOO EASY FOR US BOOMER S!!!
The 70s were my young adulthood, I listened to this mainly to make sure you had Skynyrd on this list!
This quiz could have probably been expanded to 200 songs/artists and still had a high batting average in comments.
From start to finish, the 70's were absolutely jam packed with great music from a variety of genres. Its's good to see young people scoring well here!
As someone born in 1998.. I'm proud i got 30 out of 40, including the singers..❤️
As someone born in 99, I was no way near that many 😂
It's cool that you have disovered the golden years of music.
21 out of 40. Shameful lol especially when I knew the song but couldn't think of the artist's name
35 out of 40
Aced it. A good mix of genres too. You could have added the Joker by Steve Miller band, Rocky Mountain High by John Denver and I'll be there from the Jackson 5, but otherwise a really good eclectic list.
39 / 40. Had NO idea about the Bob Dylan song.
33/40 and I'm 22
30 out of 40. Born in 1999
32/40, half that I missed could only come up with artist or title. Other 4 were songs not familiar with, so perhaps not "popular" from Billboard chart standpoint, but "popular" is a subjective word. Nicely put together quiz. First one I've seen Thanks
Thanks Andy !!
A "make me think I smart" quiz. So unchallenging. Some of the most recognizable tunes in existence. Wasted my time....thank so much!
Never realized how similar Born to Run and I Melt With You are until now
Good quiz
My buddy played to see how smart on this.

That was fun. I thought I knew a lot about 70s music, not so much, but I got quite a few.
🌟 Your quiz-making skills are top-notch, creator! 🌟
Please give a few more notes on lead, I know the bands, the lyrics
I was born in '69, youngest of 6. Oldest played guitar. Good luck stumping me
I listened to both your 70s and 80s quizzes and there was not one mention of RUSH who rules the airwaves even to this day. Next video should be a quiz about one song off each album.

No Boney M?....scandalous lol
🤦♂️
Just about all the songs were far too mainstream. I'd rather have gotten only half as much right and the songs not as well known.
We have a new 70s music quiz with 50 songs planned for late March / early April, it will be harder for sure!
Me and ma bitch got 34! Not bad!!!
You take too long between songs. Makes it boring and fatigued.
