I've just made a feed donation in memory of our Belgian mare Beauty. We lost her last night due to colic. Thank you again for the work you do! Our girl will be missed greatly!
@@FletcherFarmsAmarillo absolutely it's so sad. 😢poor precious angels. Wish I could help you more but will send what I can and spread the word here in South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤
Poor old love. Her back was the first thing I noticed. Guess some stupid idiot decided to ride here while she was still a baby. Sometimes I find it unbelievable the size of the human or even humans they are expected to carry. That's before they are made to pull carts. M
Grace's back was shocking me at first, but she walks good half the way... oh, what a past did all these horses have to go through, and they still are so sweet, doing everything you request them to do at the vet... poor animals, poor souls... but being with you they can at least enjoy the evening of their lifes, being taken good care of and being loved. ❤
On a good note, 2 horses on another channel both recovered from EPM but were younger , however there is always hope! I've had animals make miraculous recoveries just from being happy and loved and all your horses certainly get that! ❤❤
I’m so grateful that the fires didn’t affect you. I was worried about that. I’m so sorry that these horses are treated so badly. Thank you for saving them.❤️
EPM, look up Oliver the Clydesdale's story on Homestead Horsemanship, he was close to dying 12mths ago when he was rescued, if Grace has the same response to treatment as he did, she will be unrecognisable in a few months
I follow Oliver at Homestead Horsemanship and can attest to his marvelous improvements over this past year. It's been remarkable to watch him get bigger and stronger and now he's a Gorgeous Clydesdale. He has bred to Sioux, and we can't wait to see if it a boy or girl. Most of us hope & pray it's a colt & looks like Oliver!!😂❤
Thank you to Fletcher Farms for all your hard work, love, and care you give to your horses! Your love can't be equalized. I will keep praying for you. All and will pray it rains down DONATIONS!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!
Hi again J&C The right place at the right time for these new three! Once again you've been there in time for their medical needs so they can live on with the rest of your herd. Thx as always for your loving hearts and all the TLC that you give... God bless
I’m so happy you were able to rescue these three horses. You and Cory are such wonderful people, giving these horses a chance at a comfortable, well-fed life. You have quite a herd of lucky souls now. I’m old and out-to-pasture myself, thanks to the goodness of my kids and grandkids, so I can really relate to your Belgians. Thank you for the love and great care you bestow on them.
It is so wonderful to see the "new kids" arrive safe & sound! You guys are such special people for undertaking such a project! I pray you'll be able to continue with what you do! Keep up the excellent work.
For whatever reason, Taren seems to be Massie's choice of humans. Having her trust so fast will be a great help for you guys and will hopefully make her transition to retired living easier for her. Your farm is amazing. Your pride shows in how you enjoy sharing with us the herds lives and please never apologize for it. You deserve much much more but I'll venture to guess that being accepted into the herd is the only reward you desire. I've been watching your journey for a while now. I see how concerned for each horse your crew are and how far you are willing to reach to ensure all of the herd has the best care to live a comfortable worry free retirement. TYSM
Gracie looks like she had bad treatment in her last couple years of her ‘work’ life. Obviously knowing it was her last couple years; she may have been underfed. I can’t even imagine this or owning a horse & never checking for EPM. Thank you for giving her a restful part of her life ❤
OMG those poor babies. I feel so bad for Grace with her back problems. I have arthritis in my back. So I feel that poor girls pain. Thank you for taking care of all these babies. God bless you both.❤❤❤
All 3 are so wonderful…. I am so sorry to hear that Grace has EPM… at least she has Will right now to help her through…. Thank you for taking care of these wonderful souls!!!❤😊❤
What a great job you did rescuing these 3 gentle giants🐴. So appreciate your sharing video on horses veterinary appointments and feedback from the veterinarian. It is the perfect companion video for a horse care class I’m taking.
Poor horses thank gosh for you guys are taking these horses and give them good rest of their life they all need some serious hoof work. They’re hoof are terrible.
I am glad that Gracie is getting the treatment for epm because this girl needs the peace she deserves to be pampered for the rst of her life because she had give her ex owners her life time of work and when they got to old to work they sent them to the sale barn and i am very grateful for you guys for giving Gracie a grate rest from work
So great to see three more exploited draft horses are save now and will get the love and care they deserve. I am no horse expert but saw the hooves of Will and think he will feel better after a good pedicure by your farrier. The start of the video made me smile - watching one of your gentle giants sneaking up to you. I wonder who this was. 😉 And I admire that you still can tell us who is who. For me, the members of the herd look very similar. Your update once again made my day. Bless you all!
Praise God y'all were safe from the fires! I've been concerned about that being too close! Awesome new girl! May you work your magic on the new horses!❤❤❤
I am in awe of these beautiful young women treating the huge beasts that the Belgian Draft horses are. Thank you so much for taking in and caring for the beautiful but abandoned creatures.
Grace is strong in spirit. Her sway back due to untreated illness is severe, but she is fighting hard. I am concerned about her age (26, right?), and medication can have side effects too, and leading with kindness, I know you handle tough decisions and situations all the time. I was wondering when Korbin will be introduced to the herd, and if Blue has had her foal yet. The herd has grown, you evaded the fire, but warmer weather is coming soon again. Stay safe dear angels, stay strong.
Because it is our culture. When I was a kid, I was unhappy how a steer was treated and my religious grandmother said, “Why, Shirley, he is just a dumb beast.” And we think we should have dominion over the animals as the Bible says.
I also follow Homestead Horsemanship, and although their breeding of horses concerns me, I do believe rhey take excellent care of their animals. Yes, Oliver had EPM, but was only about 1.5 years old when diagnosed and treated. Grace is significantly older and probably has had the disease longer thus allowing for more damage. I'm praying, and donating, for her health to improve...but even if she never improves , by being with Julie & Cory she is guaranteed to have a peaceful, loving remainder of her life! ❤️
Thank you for this awesome update, Julie! I have had you and the horses very close in mind and ❤! I love the names of the new three. "Grace" is perfect for this sweet little mare. I am always impressed by the veterinary staff, as they work hard to support the horses and provide just the right care. God Bless You and have a good week! ~ Lori
I watch a lot of channels of rescue organizations one of the facts I noticed was the sacrifices everyone makes .Another is the great vets you all have!
Your dedication and willingness to give a retirement for these wonderful Big Horses is truly better than just about anything I can think of. Horse Angels is what you all are.
Love what you two do for these unwanted beautiful horses😊. I am unable to send you money or gifts, but sending much love to you both and all the horses ❤
Thank you for rescuing them for your care and empathy I have shared and asked others to keep sharing I wish you all health and happiness. When dose the farrier come? this will also help them a lot.
Hi Julie! Thank goodness for an obviously wonderful vet and good diagnoses. Grace is one fragile little miss. She is so lucky to land softly on your ranch! As are all of the others! I can't responsibly donate funds, but I sincerely hope for the best for your family, pets and gorgeous herd! Wahoo! 🤠❣❣❣
What a sweet bunch they are!!! Grace looks so tiny next to Dutch it's cute! and I'm gland that there was nothing really wrong with her. I'm also really glad to that Will is responding well to the injections to help with his arthritis...he seems like such a sweet, gentle heart, if only very concerned about stepping on things he doesn't know, lol, perfectly reasonable...Poor little Grace, I really her that hear treatment works!!! She just breaks my heart...though it seems from watching her just go about thing just as she does she is one of those horses who is going to be fine as a bind horse especially once she learns her environment, she'll be fine, just as she's doing now with hardly any sight. Really, her biggest challenge is to beat that protozoa, that stupid microscopic, single celled organism that's making her neurologic, (Ugh, I bet her previous owners knew, and that's why they dumped her, she's in too good of condition otherwise...) I really hope she can beat it!!! And thank you for giving her a chance, and know you always do what's in her best interest. I thank you from the bottom of my heart💖
Put a BELL at the top of WILLs neck so Grace will be sure to follow him.❤ Thanx for rescuing them.sometimes some are ready to give up. They don't see life as we do. 😊
Homestead Horsemanship has two stallions that had EPM. The oldest stallion Bob made a partial recovery and the newest stallion Oliver was ver fortunate to make a full recovery. Bob shows signs of EPM if he is confined to stall for a length of time, for him running in open pasture helps him get his hind legs moving properly. Bob has been doing well for quite a while now and his quality of life looks great.
Oh so glad you got to rescue these three beautiful precious horses, like another comment, Oliver from horseman homestead had EPM, WELL to look at that beautiful boy now, so praying 🙏 so hard that will be the same outcome for Grace, thank you, thank you sooo much Julie for all you and Cory do for these magnificent rescues❤❤❤, I will be able to donate towards vet bills, but not for a couple of weeks, sorry😢😢, thank you for the update, take care Luv Diane 🏴. xx

Julie, when you mentioned medicine for Grace's EPM, she was giving you the side-eye. 😁👋Now hurry up with her dinner!! 😻 (Watchout for that showoff Will & the adventurer Maisie) Great checkups! 💞✌️🐾🐾🇱🇷
The shape all three were in. Times are tough and money tight. However I wish people would surrender their horse(s) to a rescue rather than making a buck off of already sick and/or injured horses(s).
Would that I could come work with your residents. Alas, my horsey days are over! But what I can do is send a little of my love and prayers every day and a little financial support as I can ❤
I've only just recently come to your channel - lovely to see your horse rescue. As someone from Australia, it's saddening to me to see horses with docked tails; which is an illegal procedure here (along with docking dog's tails and ears). I hope the US eventually bans this as well.
Welcome to Maisie, Grace and Will. Hopefully the sedation made them forget the tooth grinding! Im considering canceling my next dental after this. The fence climbing is so funny. The best thing was seeing your new helpers. You have so much work. What a huge relief to have extra hands. ❤
I did watch the videos on Oliver. They were very interesting and I did tear up on some of them. I’m praying for Grace recovers soon. These are beautiful horses 🐴.
thank you for your love and concern with these gentle giants. I wish I could help a couple of them but living in my backyard in San Diego may cause a problem. lol
As Carmel said in the last comment. Homestead horsemanship has a video on Oliver their draft horse that had severe EPM and the treatment worked so there is hope for Grace. I’ll say a prayer for her recovery.
All Y'all are amazing. Each one of you did what you know Best for all . Y'all do wonderful. Praise God and Thanks Jesus for being with all of them. The Travel Mercies and your Will God. Praise God I see your Hand in all of this.Amen Jesus
I'm so grateful 🙏 that you help the disadvantaged sweet horses. They deserve a chance and your giving them that. Your wonderful people. I'll see what I can do to help for their treatment. They deserve that
I did donate for the rescue of these three beauties and will go on and do another for the vet bills and treatment..l know it has been already mentioned but Homestead Horsemanship has two horses with epm..Bob who still has it but its manageable..he is their stud and is fine he can walk and run but just has a little wobble now and again..he is a Missouri Foxtrotter..the other horse is Oluver..he is a Clydsdale and they rescused him last yr..we all helped them raise the funds as they are not a rescue but they made a connection with this guy and knew he needed help. He stumbled when running and was diagnosed with epm..so l know how expensive it is..he had 2 rounds of it and now is clear..his blood shows absolutely no sign..so it IS worth a try..you'd never recognise him to be the same horse..the vet said his blood count was only 20% and he probably wouldn't have lasted another 24 hours ! That's how bad he was..he didn't lay down for over 2 weeks because he just knew he wouldn't get up again..he is actually going to pull a cart with the family tomorrow in St Patrick days parade..THAT is how good he is now..if you have time look up Oliver at auction then the recent ones .he's a stallion but an excellent behaved one..at the moment he is looking after their foals😂.. he is a gentle giant..which of course you know all about... Maisie will come around..we don't know how bad the poor girl has had it..great that Will and Grace can be together..both in the recovery ward so to speak..as someone who has osteoarthritis l understand your pain Will..Good luck with the treatments for both of them..they're all eating and loving their alfa pro😂 probably never ate so well in their lives..Bless you for what you do..l hope that your subscribers can help with the fundraising..l know time's are hard..l live on a budget too..but even if we all give a small amount it adds up to help get that much needed epm medicine..God Bless you..and don't forget to look up Oliver at Homestead Horsemanship.. 🇬🇧💕✝️🙏👏👍🐎🐎🐎💊💉⚕️🇺🇸
Grace looks like she has a great personality and loves her food! I read that horses like Grace have muscular weakness which causes back to drop. She looks like she is quite a friendly one! Will is a handsome boy and hope his leg gets better. Thanks for helping them!

Thank you so much! We follow Oliver’s story too!
thank you for your love and concern with these gentle giants. I wish I could help a couple of them but living in my backyard in San Diego may cause a problem. lol
But all horses are blessed to be with you all.
Aww, I also hate going to the dentist! Bet they were happy when the trailer took them back home to Fletcher Farms!❤
That's how bad he was..he didn't lay down for over 2 weeks because he just knew he wouldn't get up again..he is actually going to pull a cart with the family tomorrow in St Patrick days parade..THAT is how good he is now..if you have time look up Oliver at auction then the recent ones
.he's a stallion but an excellent behaved one..at the moment he is looking after their foals😂.. he is a gentle giant..which of course you know all about...
A stud ? There’s breeding him ?
Grace looks like she has a great personality and loves her food! I read that horses like Grace have muscular weakness which causes back to drop. She looks like she is quite a friendly one! Will is a handsome boy and hope his leg gets better. Thanks for helping them!
I especially appreciate the episodes with the vet evaluations!
