Guy opening the gate of death was probably the most epic and sad moment in this series

Tommy Holman guy wouldn't have been compatible with hashirama (not zetsu) cells and would've more than likely died only reason Naruto was able to attain them was because his mother was related to hashirama's bloodline

I like Storm 4’s adaptation of Guy opening the Gate of Death better than the anime because the anime made it seem like a epic moment with the music and voice acting. Doing this let the audience knew that he was going to somehow survive and doesn’t really have the weighted fact that Guy was going to die. But, the game lets the player feel the weight of Guy’s option through all of character’s dialogue and actions throughout the mission.

Does anyone else realize this is perhaps the hardest fight to get an S Rank in, and on top of that, Guy’s ultimate being able to connect with Madara is beyond difficult in the game? And yet, at 1:09, this guy had actually managed to land Hirudora on Madara, it was so cheese I tell ya!
This is still the only thing keeping me from all achievements in game I don't know why but I suck completely at this mission

I just realized that when Gai used 8 gates he already knew the techniques, which implies he watched his father use the 8 gates against the mist abd which is why he told Lee this is his last lesseon. So that when Lee uses the 8th gate he knows the techniques to use in that form.

@@sonomni I never said it was easy or criticizing the animators for Naruto because they have some pretty legit fight scene animations. I'm saying in this particular case I think the game did the scene more justice than the anime. If I had to have a friend watch the anime scene or play this level of the game I'd hands down have him play the level.

I mean I can believe it people training hard for the almost constant clan conflicts back then, those with weak chakra would have to specialize in something. Though after opening that last gate Guy's strength starts hitting Sage of Six powerscaling, and he can bend space with a kick.

Might guy (selfless love) vs Madara (selfish love). It was a perfect combination of characters to battle one another. So much more could have gone into the fight scene and it's sad that the video game version did a better job expressing emotion and power than the show. As much as I love this fight, I also wish so much more went into it at the same time. It could have been a true masterpiece and in my eyes nothing comes close in the show to these 2 characters clashing.

As an english speaker who lost touch with the anime as I got older (I saw roughly 1/3rd through shippuden), I got this game and the previous ones to finish up the series for me. I did not know Guy survived this while it was happening and let me tell you it fucked me up super hard to see my favorite character (supposedly) go out on top like this.
Until 2 minutes later when Naruto healed him.

I'm not much a fan of Naruto, but I'll watch clips every now and then. And I gotta admit, this scene, both in the game and the anime are one of the most badass I've ever seen, and if I had to choose a favorite in Naruto, I'd have to go with Guy.

Ruined the whole Ending of the arc for me. He did his part and he had the resolve to actually kill himself. Him living now makes all that happened worthless. Also imagine how devastated Guy must be. He was ready to die and was at deaths door but instead he was brought back in a completely broken state. Took his final moment and made a guy like that bound to a wheelchair to suffer. He had his moment. Let him rest. The moment i saw naruto placing his hand on Guy's chest i was like "Really ? Come on, fuck you". Felt like a Night Guy straight to my face

Danzo had to cut off his arm that was made of Hashirama's cells during his fight with Sauske because he couldn't handle it once his chakra was low, and it nearly turned him into a tree. so his argument doesn't fall flat, Danzo in the end couldn't handle it under pressure, but was strong enough to have it under normal circumstances. Meanwhile, people like Madara and Naruto can go all out in battle and never have to worry about Hashirama's cells causing problems.
