- We checked out a lake close to our house. This is Little Carnelian Lake near Stillwater, MN. The only public access was down a long dirt trail, so I put my 12 ft alumacraft on a kayak carrier and rolled it to the landing. We caught a bunch of small fish, but had lots of fun.
This is one of those lake that looks to good to be true. Caught nothing but dinks there.
Has anyone else fished this lake?
Life Outdoors I used to many years ago when I was a kid, my dad had a friend who had property on that lake and we used to camp there every weekend. Unfortunately the guy sold it I was told and we never went back. I plan on going there this summer and seeing what’s in there because there used to be giant bass, crappies and sunfish and northern. My brother has a 9 pound bass mounted out of that lake from when we were kids
I guess I should mention that this lake is in Stillwater, MN. Is this the lake you are thinking of, because from my experience, all the game fish are tiny. It did have some decent sized bluegills though. I've fished Big Carnelian, which is nearby, and seems to have the same problem with tiny fish. If you did catch big fish here, that is awesome, but I don't think they exist anymore.
Life Outdoors yeah, add me on instagram
Mn_jay_outdoors and I’ll see if I can find the picture of the mount
Life Outdoors I’ll tell you where we used too catch them
YES, I would love to know where the fish are on that lake. Unfortunately I don't have instagram, or have any idea how to use it.
