Oh, I love it. I just planted my birdseed and right now. I just have tall green grass. That’s it.
Murdochs - Black oil sunflower seeds 🌻🌻🌻
Bag of raw peanuts from Walmart will grow too :)
I've been growing my sunflowers this way for years. I also put down my Monmouth and Russians first and then just use my bird feed to do the rest. One Year we had feeders on both sides of the yard and both sides were covered in sunflowers. Perfect for a Throw and Go gardener like myself. Did you know you can plant lead lettuce from the store and it will regenerate?
P.S. don't use seed starter for your sunflowers, they will shoot quickly and the stem will be weak
My wench pulses on up with is rong?
Cool, I was wondering if that would work!
Cool! I was wondering if that would work!
Unless you have a topper
where do you get them?
I found this video, because just today underneath my birdfeeder, I see a green vine, growing. Obviously new and fresh, completely foreign to what was there before, and the only thing I could think of was the black sunflower seeds, and the birdseed I’ve been using. Because a lot of it gets spilled onto the ground because the little birds are aggressive. I’m excited to see what will happen in the future, although I feel that since it’s growing now at the beginning of December, I don’t think it’s going to last very long. So I might try the experiment again in March.
Great Video, I am following your teaching process as I put together my Otter Lodge. I am in my garage watching your video as I assemble. Thanks for doing this!
Diddnt work wires everywhere and a pain in the butt why arnt they all wireless ? Im just gonna save the clutter and headache and buy the proper winch system lol wow
I planted bird seed from the store, too. But, I saved my seeds and planted them the next year. So, if you want a lot of higher quality flowers, do that. You only have to buy seeds one time.
🌻🤍
I wanted to try too. I plant in the spring I usually spend around $50 for seed. So I just planted some to see if they will grow. I bought enriched seeds. Not sure they will grow. I hope the do.
Beautiful ❤
Very nice! How many pounds per acre did you use?
Will they be the dominant plant again the next summer on their own now or will you need repeat this process every year to ensure they do so well?
i did the same experiment last summer and i was blown away at how well it worked!
Well thanks for showing me how to hook it up now. I just hope I don't get to spark and sensation like you did l o l
❤ 🌻😊
Where did he say he went to get the 40lb bag of black oil sunflower seeds?
Omg your sunflower field look absolutely gorgeous 🌻😍🌻😍🌻😍🌻
Did they self-seed and come back the following year?
Man what a great video! Very thorough and well explained!! Thank you!!
So cool! I'm going to try this in the spring. Thanks!
Thank you! These days, it's nice to find frugal ways to save money on growing our own food. Very helpful!!
Come back to UA-cam!!!!
Great instructional vid...but doesn't need the music. Everyone seems to think they need to add it, but the music is more annoying than anything. Thanks!
Good video 📹 I'm picking mine up Saturday my first new ice shack
Probably can't close the cover on the pickup now im hoping i have not tried yet.
Assembly for your lodge same as my cabin, thank God for your video really helped alot. Question should i leave the front door open when folding down? Thank you again for a great detailed video.
The pro doesn't come with the center console
Sunflower oil good
F the bench too heavy and way too much space
very well done, appreciate you taking the time to do this detailed video. Im getting my first one and have never seen them assembled. Cheers and tight lines. Oh ya Otter rocks!!!
Used it on my boat lift ,thanks works great 👍
Yes! They’ve popped up in my garden! Yeah! Fun video thank you! And yes, they like to get anchored right in the ground they will grow in. Idea! If you plant the mammoth sunflowers again, just save the seed heads and you’ll have tons of seed. ❤️❤️
Really enjoyed both your videos did you ever get any seeds to form? I couldn't find a third video thanks for your time Simon
I was thinking about this idea today...thanks for your two videos! 👍 Your field looks gorgeous! It's late for it here this year, but definitely next year! Have you tried making oil?
Thank you, great video. Very step by step. Just assembled mine. Manual book, was quite vague.
Thank you. I leave the safflower seedsout. And the millet. For the out doors birds. Grow the left over in the garden. They grow but not indoors. They need soil.
NEVER NEVER connect full circuit, (connect power last,) until ALL wires are correctly connected dont play with electrical components unless you proficient,
Nice info. HOWEVER!!! The reason you got sparks is because you effectively short-circuited between the pos and neg poles of the battery. Using the steel socket driver to tighten nuts on the solenoid, it was inevitable, because you connected the solenoid to the battery terminals first. ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE FOOLING AROUND WITH WHATEVER IT'S ATTACHED TO! Just a word to the wise. Another commenter talks about using an inline fuse, which would have blown if fitted. With no fuse or circuit breaker, the heat produced by the short-circuit could have welded the socket driver to the contacts it was touching. Next to zero Ohms resistance, with a battery that develops 600 cold cranking Amps or more, and you could easily have had an explosion. Further, just because the battery has a stated 600 CCA, doesn't mean that's it's limit, but assuming that 600 Amps is it's limit, Volts times current (Amps) equals Watts. That's 12 times 600 equals 7,200 Watts. Your average kettle only uses one third of this.
Can't wait to do this!
If you eat the popcorn as a microgreen it's sweet
*Great lightweight shelter. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s love how it blocks the light from outside. It was a pain to open the first time but now that it is broke in goes up easy..*
Wow the 🌻
You can actually buy high quality black sunflower seeds for 1.5$ per kilogram in Kurdistan markets. You can buy 4 kgs with that price if purchased directly from farmers. Why is this so expensive in the us tho ? Are they that rare ?
Well I guess that answers my question as to why there are sunflowers all over my yard this spring. Iv been feeding the chickadees and squirrels black oil sunflower seeds.
