I had a PS2 so I played the Smackdown games growing up but Raw 2 season mode actually looked very interesting for its time. Compared to WWE Raw which I did have for PC this looked leaps and bounds better with much more variety. Takes you back to a time where you had more than just one central WWE game from different developers instead of 2K being the be all ends all of WWE games.
@@armaniransom9296He’s not lying. It actually is backwards compatible. I own it and it works on 360. If you don’t believe me, you can look up the 360 backwards compatible games list.
@armaniransom9296 It is. Just no custom soundtrack. If you find the Original Xbox games list playable on Xbox 360, Raw 2 is on that list so it is playable
I remember playing this at a GameStop in Tempe Arizona where I was going to school at I was so wowed by this game it was a major improvement from raw 1 with a much larger roster and in depth career mode.
My best friend and I loved always setting traps (we would set traps for Hogan everytime), and then we miss the target and Hogan would just look around confused, and then invading the locker room and.... @@Bubba__Sawyer yea it was left unfinished. In fact a lot of the game was because THQ was frustrated with Anchor taking so long. We didn't get the blood system they worked on; they cut off the ramp during matches; a ton of season mode cutscenes left out; unfinished/glitchy AI; online mode removed; etc.
My favourite as a kid were the WWF Superstars and Wrestlefest arcade games from the late 80s and early 90s, respectively. Many a 10p was spent on them in the likes of Barry's and Sportsland on my summer holidays lol.
I remember having this on my dad's Xbox during my college years, I remember making a wrestling werewolf character that I often created in most wrestling games and with the custom entrance theme feature, I used Anxiety by Black Eyed Peas and Papa Roach for my guy's theme which honestly was a better use of the song than it was in Wrestlemania 21. Also nice job on getting a modded xbox, it's definitely worth it, I was able to play Kakuto Chojin on mine
This was the first game my brother bought after we got the Xbox. Never had a PS2 so I never got a chance to enjoy the great Smackdown games of that era. With that said, despite its flawed gameplay, there was so much content to enjoy within the game and even until now, I have never found myself as fully immersed in a WWE Season Mode as I was with Raw 2. You brought back so many memories with this video. Thank you.
I absolutely loved Raw 2 back in the day, & I still own it with my original Xbox. I used all all 60-ish CAW slots & pretty much created my own personal wrestling promotion. I even went as far as using the Picture-in-Picture feature on my TV at the time to let me watch Raw every Monday while also doing CPU-only matches with my CAWs, in essence producing my own wrestling program while also watching Raw at the same time! The only thing really missing from this video, though, is a mention regarding just how insane the AI could be in Raw 2. Make a pinfall or submission attempt in a multi-man match, and literally all of them will stop what they're doing to break it up, unless they're already in the middle of performing a move. Even when it's an elimination match the AI will just go insane with breaking up pins & submissions. It was simultaneously hilarious & annoying, admittedly.
Really and truly loved this game back in the day! The creation suite was fantastic! Current gen could learn a LOT from it! Loved being able to set pyro and lights so precisely!
Thank you for covering this game! It was my first and favorite wrestling game to date! I've also appreciated your use of some of the tracks from this game in your Reliving the War series. Great video!
Yes now this one was the real deal.. I loved the HIAC matches on this one, could go through any of the top panels, the entrances with the timings on CAW was brilliant, loved this game. Keep up the good work Wrestling Bios.
In the process of repairing an original xbox and i never played any of the wwe games on it back in the day and this video definitely made my mind up for me that i will be getting this
Yo yo for real, the fact we could use our own music for the entrances was everything in 2003....and you can't do it today! Mental. Loved this game to pieces. Thank you for the review.
I always watched people enjoy this game from afar and was envious of the customisation options When I finally got an Xbox and my copy of RAW 2 time had passed me by and I couldn't get into it I like to point to this game as the start of the advanced entrance suite in SVR amongst other innovations, it deserves the respect its earned in the community

I was going back and I realized they used they used the same character pictures on this game as Wrestlemania XIX . I thought I was pretty cool considering both came out around the same time .
Glad to see this game get some love. When I first got my Xbox, this was the only game I had for a little while. I had a lot of "stupid fun" with it, especially with the Rumbles and careers. I loved how you could just walk out of the Rumble and not got eliminated, or how people could enter more than once.
I’m an original Xbox collector and I agree with everything you have said regarding the differences between the 2 Raw games. The action is still really sluggish but it is just a matter of adapting. The graphics for the time are just incredible though. Great video as always mate 🙂
This was a great game during a great time and my very early 20s the nostalgia for this and all the GC WWE games are a period in time I'll cherish forever. I still fire up Raw 2 to this day to be taken back to a simpler time. The old Xbox and GC just seemed to have a charm the PS2 games didn't for me. Great review and retrospective. I even played the hell outa WM21 despite allll it's issues and being meh but Raw 2 WM18,19 DOR 1&2 were 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Triple H burried him at Royal rumble and then again at No Way out, and by wrestlemania he was in the midcard till his contract was up after next years wrestlemania. The only real notable thing he did after triple h burried him was that feud he did with Test with Stacy Keibler
This is still my favorite wrestling game just cuz the countless hours I spent playing it as a kid. At one point I held all the titles in season mode & my theme song was I Want it All by Queen.
I played this for years. I remember the season mode going into 12 seasons and 5 of which I was undisputed champion and loved watching my guy show up with both titles. I had an 81 man royal rumble too. As for the Refs I picked a submission as my finisher because then there was no slow count.
Loved the season mode of this! It always made you feel like something was happening! I feel like what's missing now that Raw 2 had was a certain attention to details. it's just those little things like being able to slide out of the ropes during a royal rumble and getting weapons in. It just gave you those options that added more of the WWE feel to a regular wrestling game. Sure it was janky but it had its charm because of it.
The Season Mode in this game was amazing. There were so many options to keep it fun for months on end. If the gameplay had been a little less sluggish, It would've been up there with the best of the best. Wrestlemania 21 was such a downgrade in every aspect other than graphics.
Great video as always. I missed out on the original Xbox and 360 back in the day simply because I went for Playstations instead. The good thing with create a character modes is they can always make a Okay-ish wrestling game great fun. I brought Smack Down: Just Bring It with my PS2 and although not the best wrestling game my mates and I made it amazing. We spent our time making our own original roaster then would make our own PPVs and have matches again each other. Good times.
16:37 I would but I'm currently doing this with 2K22 where I pit my creations against the best I can find online. With that said though if I can get a way to stream XONE or 360 or emulate them I'd certainly try out formulas for Yuna, Rayne, Reiko, Aayla, Buffy, ect.
I loved this game back when I had it. My most favorite feature was being able to use music off of your Xbox's hard drive as theme music for your custom wrestler. I spent DAYS on just creating wrestlers and entrances.
I still play this game with so much joy. My 1 friend and I would do 2 player season mode and 1 of us would conquer Raw and the other Smackdown then assist each other in matches when needed
This game was by far my favorite for the Xbox. As a kid this was the game that I kind of grew up with And I spent a good salad 3 years playing this game
Good video, raw 2 is an underrated wrestling game for me but one thing about the refs they all have different counting speeds I can't remember who but one of them has a normal speed count.
Absolutely loved this game!!!! It wasn't perfect but it was heading in the right direction. Had kind of a stripped down No Mercy control scheme and that sold me on it. Wish Anchor had a chance to give it another go. Great video, thanks for giving this one a go!!! Always love your content!!
Loved the create a wrestler and season mode on this game. Also being on Xbox it let you use a custom soundtrack on your wrestler entrance. Playing 4 player season mode was a blast
Another awesome upload from the greatest wrestling channel on the planet! I never got round to playing the original XBox, or Raw 2. Being more of an N64 gamer, then later PS2. I find these reviews interesting and perhaps I’ll get round to playing Raw 2 someday. Thanks for the upload.
I remember playing armageddon cage matches as a kid, and found it hilarious as as soon as you climbed the cage wall, all the other 5 wrestlers would climb as well and it became this insane button mash-off ending the match within a minute. I spent so many hours in this game and even as a kid, I knew raw 1 was total ass in comparison. Thanks for the nostalgia trip!
I always love when you cover wrestling video games on the channel, I missed on this one but I mainly played the n64 wrestling games and day of reckoning 2 when I was a kid. Would you review 2k22? They really stepped it up and its a great wrestling game!
I absolutely loved this game. I was able to create some really cool entrances & I thought it was great how you could set up the time the pyro went off & letting you have 2 different pyros. I'd have the camera angles change to best allow the pyro to be seen....then I also liked how you could change the lighting of each piece of the entrance ramp. Anchor did a great job with Pride FC. It's still a game I have & play. I was able to create some solid characters such as Mike Tyson, Ivan Drago, Chong Li, Mr. T & a few more. The combos they let you create are great. One thing that always stood out in Pride FC is that when you land a big strike you like feel it....it makes a loud almost explosion type of noise & you see the character get rocked. Along with that...you are never out of a fight & could land a 1 punch KO that could drain your opponents whole life bar if it's timed correctly. I was getting crushed one time and I forget who it was that was killing me....but then I landed a left hook that ko'd my opponent & my opponent had I'd say 95% of his life bar. I was Igor Volchanchyn. Such a great game & it's cheap I highly recommend it. I still want the 2nd Pride game which was released in Japan only. My modded ps2 still works I can buy it and play it. I forget if it wa Raw 1 or 2 where you can collect tons of different weapons to use during matches....those I remember spending time to get them all. The season mode was a lot of fun & it always worked out differently which I appreciated. The moves & finishers were decent. Some where better than others but it had a solid variety. I've been dying to play this again & also Def Jam Fight for NY. Def Jam is around $60 these days...Raw 2 I haven't looked up. I need to get a modded original Xbox as well. One of my friends has had his for like 20yrs & it still works.
The best thing about RAW 2 was the storyline mode. It had excellent storylines and the features where you could attack an opponent on the way to the ring was really cool as well
Such variety is so much better than what we have now. Al 3 series were uniquely different in every way. I really dislike so many aspects of the 2K games. We really need another pick up and play, arcade style wrestling game series.
note: The Referee's have different speeds. Mike Chioda is the fastest counting referee lol. Tim White is the slowest. Also there's 2 different sized ladders you can use in WWE RAW 2.

I have to say the XBOX you have is AMAZING I remember having Raw an Raw 2 agree the sequel was awesome. Great Vid as always
I played this for years. I remember the season mode going into 12 seasons and 5 of which I was undisputed champion and loved watching my guy show up with both titles. I had an 81 man royal rumble too. As for the Refs I picked a submission as my finisher because then there was no slow count.
A great classic in my home there was an arcade and I always played that game
Loved the season mode of this! It always made you feel like something was happening! I feel like what's missing now that Raw 2 had was a certain attention to details. it's just those little things like being able to slide out of the ropes during a royal rumble and getting weapons in. It just gave you those options that added more of the WWE feel to a regular wrestling game. Sure it was janky but it had its charm because of it.
Thanks for unlocking some memories of friends and myself going for years playing this one
Made my dad get me this game when i was a kid
really enjoying the game series in particular. would love to see more
The glow up from Raw 1 to Raw 2 was real
Good times.
What a treat! I was looking for a review and saw Bios Guy did one! I didn't know Bios Guy did game reviews. Niiice
Can you upload the Create A Wrestler theme of RAW 2 please? I love that track and can't find it anywhere on UA-cam :(
This one was awesome, I remember brother and I continually attacking each other back stage on the season/career. lol
My friend use to own this game and we had loads of fun playing it back in the day.
Stumbled across this video and GLAD I DID! Well done. Great footage and deep dive into this game. Really appreciate your work on this.
Loving these classic game videos
I'm hoping one day you'll have just covered them all 👀
Grew up on this game, I would sit on the main menu and just listen to the music
16:37 I would but I'm currently doing this with 2K22 where I pit my creations against the best I can find online. With that said though if I can get a way to stream XONE or 360 or emulate them I'd certainly try out formulas for Yuna, Rayne, Reiko, Aayla, Buffy, ect.
With my cousin this was EVERYTHING. That’s the best roster EVER imo just missing Bret Hart and Savage
The only wwe game where you can exit the ring in a royal rumble. SUPER UNDER RATED

@@Gorgutsforcongress A SALAD STEEL CAGE!!! - Bruce Prichard
Good video, raw 2 is an underrated wrestling game for me but one thing about the refs they all have different counting speeds I can't remember who but one of them has a normal speed count.
Really enjoying these video game vids, wouldn't mind seeing more gaming related vids, or a secondary gaming channel.
Played this game for 4 years when I got this. At the time it was my favorite wrestling game on the Xbox. Season mode was my favorite to play
Loved the video!
Keep going with the gaming vids you've got the Jam to start a great gaming channel.
If your using a CAS in season mode, make sure to give them a 2nd attire or else you'll get a guy in red trunks doing all your backstage work!
It had excellent storylines and the features where you could attack an opponent on the way to the ring was really cool as well
2003 WWE game lineup is the greatest in history !!!
Here comes the pain
WrestleMania XIX
RAW 2
3 Awesome game with different gameplay approaches !!!
Such variety is so much better than what we have now. Al 3 series were uniquely different in every way. I really dislike so many aspects of the 2K games. We really need another pick up and play, arcade style wrestling game series.
I remember playing the hell out of this game. I clearly recall losing my belt on a DQ. I was livid! Still a great game though.
£25 for all of that? damn what a bargain
Can't wait for your wrestlemania 21 review. I played that game religiously back in the day. Its was awesome!
