Are you using the PATs method by Mack? I have been watching his videos on and off since 2014. Still not profitable. But I'm not as dedicated though because I only do this for a period of time before taking a looooong break. Did you tweak the method a bit? Are you shooting for more than 1 point on that first exit? I am. I go for 2 points.
@@vandelayindustries6128 I'm profitable as well. Just do what Mack says. 1 point targets, only go for 2nd entries. NOTHING ELSE. You may only have 4-5 trades per week, but that's all you need. With Apex trading accounts you can quickly get to trading 20 contracts. With 1 point targets, 20 contracts is $1,000 per trade. You can do it. If you can't discipline yourself to only take 2nd entries, than check out Jared Tendler's book on mental game stuff.

I hear your frustration and I implore you to ignore the naysayers and keep doing what you’ve been doing because there are many of us grateful to have found you and appreciate everything you do. Mack, this was one of the better videos you've made in awhile. If you went over 4 or 5 trades a day in detail with the holy grail explained (trend lines, 2 legs, S/R and KEP), I believe the newer traders would learn more that way then they would doing the whole day of chart reading. Maybe I missed something, but your first step in the Holy Grail is to "determine the prevailing market direction". While discussing this you showed data from previous days, which makes it simple to see. Unfortunately, I've seen this type of thing in too many UA-cam trading videos. It's easy to see what happened and what should have been done when looking backwards. But it seems to me that determining the prevailing market direction for 'today' cannot be done using 'today's' data, unless a good portion of the day is already complete. And even then, it is just an 'educated guess'. So, are you saying to use the previous day's data to do this? All of the other steps make perfect sense, but I would really like to hear more about how 'you' determine market direction at the 'beginning' of a trading day...Thanks!

I was trading for 2 years using Pats strategy...I am not even close as he is... my statistics are 54% win rate.. when I win I make 750 USD on 5 contracts... when I lose its 600 USD... I can make a living with that... but would be nice to trade with Pats side by side to correct my mistakes and become as good as he is...

Everyone greatly, greatly appreciates all the time he has taken to show the PATS system. The HUGE problem for newer traders (I have 4 years experience), is always showing 100% win rate in every chart review, skipping over trades that the majority of traders with 2-3 years experience would take & acting like they never existed. Only what 2-4 losers have been showing in 10 years of videos???
@@MMxxxM His chart reviews do not show trades taken, they show potential trades that could have been taken that meet the criteria of our setups. They are the high probability setups, and they are pointed out so that you can learn to spot them. Why would he bother wasting time showing trades that aren't high probability and shouldn't be taken? We know they shouldn't be taken by process of elimination because they didn't meet the criteria. Seems like you're not approaching his chart lessons with the proper mindset or expectation. That's on you, not on Mack.
Mack do you have teachings how the first entry and second entry works? When you say first entry, is that mean you enter the trade? Same with second entry,I understand the signal bar but im really still confuse on first entry and second entry.
No indicator will make you money consistently. They don't work, plain and simple. Everything you need is in the price action, it's just a matter of learning how to find and see it.

You said 8 tick stop loss 4 tick take profit you said to ditch that rule now and place 1 tick above/below high/low for stop loss, which nearly always is more than 8ticks, which means you need a near perfect win rate to make a profit.. also the book says to just take every trade, but when asked about it you said to only take 2-3 best trades only.
Any minor or temporary tweaks like that go in the FAQs page of the website. Read it from time to time. priceactiontradingsystem.com/faqs/ The high volatility will probably not last forever, then you can and will need to go back to the 8-tick rule. That rule is not that important, but it's there for rookies that will trade live too soon. Everything you need is either in the manual or on the website. You can find it all for free actually, it is just more difficult to put it all together without starting with the manual.
Interesting Mack . You say " We are not pattern traders" and you mention Patterns twice in you rules . LOL. I have always posted here many times . Second entries or 2 legged pull backs ARE PATTERNS .
It’s not that hard just find two points and go with it and see if you get a third. Lot times you get bounce of that mid line to help (hint) you if your correct. There’s many times I found uptrend with only working with two points on the top. Drawn your line then down where touched the low point of your (guessing) trend and like said most time you get action there so when price comes back to it and bullish takes it. It’s not hard once YOU PRACTICE
Finding the KEPs is not that difficult. Obviously, you have to study and learn it, but it's not like it's some difficult aspect or secret nobody can learn. I see charts every day that look exactly like mine by people that haven't been doing this very long at all. This is a skilled and high paying profession. Do not expect it to be so simple anyone can learn it without any effort.
Mack, while I believe that you are teaching us everything. Your videos show us a 100% success rate. You never mark any losers. Why not show us good trades that ended up being losers?
I don't show my trading. Read the disclaimer. This is a chart lesson for our students showing the trades for the day that met our entry criteria. So they can learn to find them too.

This is where people get it all wrong. You can't learn anything from my trading. My tendencies and my skill set are totally different than yours. You don't learn to day trade by studying losing trades. You learn by studying your own trades and correcting your own tendencies. It's like trying to learn to play the piano. I can show you the notes and where they are and the basics, but for you to get better at playing a piano, you have to practice and study on your own every single day. Trading is the same, you cannot learn how to trade by watching someone else trade. They can teach you the rules and what to look for, but to become skilled, the rest is up to you.
Mack, are you willing to share your track record? You have stated that you have +90% win rate. I am sorry but that is unsustainable. That kind of performance is literally the 'Holy Grail'. No human being ever born has that kind of performance.

True - but in fairness to Mack he has said over and over that these have to be taken within the greater context.
