I love all those close-ups, telling the complete story with an energised musical background (I was in the mood for that kind of music), and enjoyed a cup of tea whilst watching. Just finished cutting a fretboard for a ukulele, so feel part of the "makers community" again instead of just an onlooker 😃
Wow! you got some skills! Thanks again for another awesome video. I must say that each of your posts is like a poem. You put so much attention in the flow, the rythm, the angles and so on... Its always a treat to watch your work. Thanks for the inspiration!
When do we get to vote for best UA-cam video production? Great project, great video.... yet again... you just keep putting out this extraordinary work Laura. Congratulations!
Unglaublich cooles Video!! Die Idee ein Leatherman -Armband selber zu produzieren ist schlichtweg gigantisch... Ich freue mich, dass ich Deinen Kanal entdeckt habe. Ich stürze mich jetzt gleich auf Deine anderen Videos. LG Felix
Great Job Laura! I'm a machinist and precision fabricator with 40 years of experience. I am so happy to see the current generation interested in and embracing designing, making and sharing this "Way Of Life". I wish you were my neighbor and I could let you play in my shop full of fine under used machinery, tooling and bits of mechanical parts, oh ya and 500k fasteners. Keep up your sharing of skill and thought process, it will change the lives of people.
I am very impressed...... i love machining/build channels, but this is the first time i saw this channel. This one gave me goosebumbs, visually very pleasing, great music, perfect close ups, would fit in an art galery and a how to video course. Thank you.
Hi Laura, Nice job on the build. Always use a brush to clear chips, pliers or chip hook for stringers, and, always wear safety glasses. Work safe, be good, C.
Nicely done! If you market these Laura, your ad line should be "Jewelry for the Zombie Apocalypse" by Laura Kampf.... Hahaha I love the neo industrial feel of it.
I would say turn your taps back every quarter turn... but they aren't my tools... ;) Love the video anyway. LOL RIP Hairy people... you know those links are going to clench wicked bad.
Laura, your creativity and skill combined with the editing and well chosen music make for a superb experience, keep it up! Could you give us the exact artist + track name for this please? Not sure what so search for on epdemicsound to find it :)
While doing proof calculations of safety loops on a sunday in the office, that was a perfect small break for me. Excellent video editing as always and also pretty good work as well. Thumbs up, Laura.
Tolle Arbeit, mach bitte weiter so!
Laura, nice build! Your efforts really show in the project detail as well as the video work. You are killin' it with those close ups! Your DOF is like ZERO and your nailing the focus!! Just beautiful all around.
wow, that looks just awesome! i'll really have to look into getting more tools and try something similar on my own. you just got an another fan, thank you very much for the videos!
YO! Laura.... this is a project I've been working on & over thinking! When saw the original design I was mad @ the price tag so i started to develop ideas of my own. Great job!! This turned out BEAUTIFUL!
Oh wow, I carry a first gen Leatherman. But this is brilliant stuff especially the cost of making one $10 and elbow grease. Plus the satisfaction of making one by hand is priceless!
The bicycle chain solution is nice and clever. Been thinking of making my own bands. CNC machinist here so I'll go at it somewhat differently, but... oh hell, I'll steal that ;) sorry.
Awesome project! Your skills and designs are amazing. But I have been blown away at your cinematography! Your shots are amazing! The lighting! The Color! The focus/ DOF and composition! All amazing!
Awesome project! Your skills and designs are amazing. But I have been blown away at your cinematography! Your shots are amazing! The lighting! The Color! The focus/ DOF and composition! All amazing!
+1 like from me. :) A little bit too much manual work for my taste (I can work manually and I like to work manually, it's only that since I discovered CNC laser cutting nearby... you know the story) but that's inbeetween other things what I think deserves much respect - realising the idea with the tools at hand. :) I do that too, do not mistake me for a total CNC cutting fan. :) Greetings.
Brilliant! Laura, you have a great eye for doing it yourself, but BETTER. Particularly fond of the length of the videos. I hope your new shop is serving you well and your subscriptions continue to grow. Did I say brilliant? :-) ~Jim "Mr. Measure Twice" Marchetti "Know your strengths and own them and don't apologize for them." - Annabel Acton
Laura, I know you posted this 18 months ago. However, because I became interested in the Leatherman Tread, I logged onto YT for some reviews and happened on this incredible video of yours. I'm very impressed with your design, engineering, and the good, old fashioned craftsmanship that you utilized to make your own version of the Tread. Wow! You've inspired me to get back to some of my old DIY projects I'd put away for another day, to get back to welding, carpentry, masonry, and cooking! Again, very impressive. I love some of the shots you included that show your shop, very cool. I've subscribed to your chan and will watch more of your vids. Hitting up your site, Insta, and FB to see more of your work which is so amazing. Great good luck in all of your endeavors. Keep up the good work! You made my day. Now my hands are anxious to get back to work, lol.
Amazing macro footage! You know your angles! Great story and soundtrack. Maybe switching reg screw for Allen or star will enhance your fantastic design! Congrats!
WOW gr8 Concept darling... dis is de first video i watched,... U surely own one more Subscriber n im going to follow ur channel too....looks interesting... :) keep doing good work, cheers n enjoy... :D
So... Let me get this straight... You tried on the tread and it didn't fit your wrist... Then... Instead of sizing the tread by taking out a couple of links you thought the only solution to the problem is to construct an entire new bracelet...??? I would love to see what you would do if you were looking to buy a new car and the seat happens to be in a position that does not fit you... LOL Instead of adjusting the seat you would go home and build and entire car from scratch....? LO fucking L! Genius! Subscribed! I have to see more! LOL!
Your videos get me thinking like Jimmy Diresta's videos get me thinking. I love working with lots of different materials, but seeing other people's creativity inspires ideas that I might not ever have without that prompt. Thank you so much for sharing!
Great build Laura, but what amazes me the most every time are your insane editing skills and your stunning cinematography. Keep up the good work.
thanks, johannes!

Your bracelet came out really good but the video editing and production values made this into something truly special. Awesome work!
Delightful mix of styles with accents of Faberge, steam punk & utility & inspiringly beautiful from such humble materials.

Seriously cool video, great idea for a tool, superbly filmed as manufactured.
I love your videos. The detail you put in the camera work is great. Even if you don't like a particular project, the movie itself is worth watching.
