I would like to give a note to anyone wanting to use this to "fix" their burn-in on an AMOLED panel: the reason your panel is suffering from burn-in is because certain pixels have been worn out faster then their surrounding one's, which results into these certain pixels emitting less light then their surrounding one's. This is most likely due to static elements that force those pixels to always be on (for example notification icons on phones, navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen etc). Using this method you will try to "wear" out all the surrounding pixels as well by forcing all the pixels on for a long period of time. If it works this does results into the burn-in being removed or atleast being reduced because the surrounding pixels will also have been worn out more. However this will cause your AMOLED screen to overall be a lot less vibrant and therefore you'll lose picture quality. So using this fix can be seen as a sort of trade off between not having burn in and loss of overall picture quality. I thought people wanted to know this before trying to fix their AMOLED panels using methods like these.

My new Sony OLED display has one big, green screen fart which I’ve identified as a stuck pixel. I ran this and several other apps listed here, and nothing works. The great green eye booger is bright as ever. I’m at a loss of what to do about it. A few ideas come to mind- I’ve tried pressing on the screen where the fart is, but there seems to be a gap of a few millimeters between the front glass and the pixels themselves. I’ve gotten up to firm, but I don’t want to press any harder, afraid of cracking the glass or making it worse. I have a 5mw handheld laser, with green output nearly identical to that of the eye booger in my 65” OLED flat panel. To do this, I would punch a pinhole in a piece of construction paper, center it directly over the fart, and hit with a quick flash of laser light. It hasn’t responded to any apps on here, or any of the physical remedies I’ve seen offered anywhere online. Is it safe to use a laser to hopefully pick the booger out of my OLED TV’s nose? To send the TV back anywhere will mean weeks or months going without, and with the rather poor quality control over these flat panel displays, chances are better than not that I’ll end up getting more eye boogers on a replacement than I already have. I’d much rather find a way to fix the problem now- All ideas and suggestions are welcome.... DEATH! to all the OLED eye boogers!!!

This is not actually fix of the AMOLED screen burn-out problem. You will have more burn-out pixels other than already burnt-out. We can only take preventive actions, just don't use your phone in sunlight for a very long time and don't use on application at full brightness continuously. I have seen, Facebook, Keyboard and some other apps printed on screen because user used them for long time at full brightness or under the direct sunlight.

Can someone explain the science behind this? How could this fix an irreversible burn in on an OLED screen?
It can't fix that, people are dumb for thinking this works.
Arnodude53

Basically the burned out pixels around it will being to fade and match with the burned pixels. This basically makes your AMOLED screen less vibrant but it helps if you have those kinds of pixel issues.
It doesn't

@@PeterJAmo Hello. About 40% of the brightness
I’d much rather find a way to fix the problem now-
All ideas and suggestions are welcome....
DEATH! to all the OLED eye boogers!!!
