This is the type of film that isn't ment to make you happy.
It's meant to teach you something, even the smallest thing such as Votes was taken away from Women. Because of their Gender.
    I'll never forget this film.

I finally watched this Movie "Suffragette" tonight and it was such an amazing, fantastic, and powerful Movie! :D :D :D This Song describes this Movie so well because the Women are fighting for Women Votes which cause them to gain freedom. This is such a really good Song aswell. :D The Movie "Suffragette" is one of me favourite Movies and it made me cry at certain parts because alot of Women back then got put in jail for nothing but fighting for rights, got shunned by others, got force-fed, and got beaten up by the police :'( :'( :'( Us Women should've had equal rights with Men and this situation would've not happened at all. Men are scared of us because we are powerful than them. We us Women are still not treated with equal rights and that is wrong... I just want the world both Women and Men to live equally together in peace with equal everything without any fights or wars with each other. This Movie made a deep impact to me because it showed me how Women were treated back then and it was so wrong and very bad! We Women are much powerful than we look. So I am happy I am a Women!

I don’t think it was the case that men were scared because women were more ‘powerful’ than them, more because they did not wish for women to be on their level

+Dren Skywalker Just Google it, you'll find a lot of links where you can find this (or other songs) lyrics. That's the "power" of Google....: you can find everything if you just look hard enough. Lyrics, on the other hand, are never hard to search.

+LongLiveRegina +DrenSkywalker I tried transcribing it; here's what I come up with :) Hope this helps!!
      Oh, in this growing darkness
      I can’t see the light
      Sinking down under this way
to come and push the fight
      Oh, freedom
      Hear our battle cry
      We can turn the tide
Defend our strength, our story, and undo the wrong
Stand by my glory, our road is long
Defend our strength, our story, and undo the wrong
      Oh, freedom
      Hear our battle cry
      We can turn the tide
      Oh, freedom
      Hear our battle cry
      We can turn the tide

Men had to accept mandatory conscription for military service for the right to vote, paying dearly for it in WWI and WWII, women forcefully gain the right through acts of terrorism and social distress.
Large number of the Suffragettes were from upper and middle class, which already had access to vote, voting being the privilege and responsibility of the educated & informed, mind you in that period the literacy was around 50-60% among the female population in Britain.

+cracanata Actually, during this time period in Britain, no women could vote. That's why the Suffragettes and Suffragists were formed. Women - whilst they didn't fight during WWI contributed a great deal to the war effort, for example risking their lives daily working in munitions factories. Their incredible contribution to the war effort was one of the main reasons why they were eventually given the vote.

+Gareth Russell Not to mention that at this point, both of Britain's colonies of New Zealand and Australia already gave women the right to vote.
Considering that due to the women's ability to vote in Australia during WW1, conscription was never introduced as there was never a direct threat to the nation. It was only under strong ties to Britain.
