Up until 0:13, this track's drum beat sounds a lot like the short drum solo from "Dream Chaser", which comes right after its guitar solo. The melody from 0:43 onwards and the drum/guitar pattern at 1:54 only seems to back this up even more. After doing a bit of research, the game's Guitar Arrange soundtrack came out in 1999 Jan 27, while Second Stage first aired in 1999 Oct 15. Being a fan of that game AND this anime, this is a super cool finding for me.
Another clarification: Both Emperor III and Dream Chaser arrange were both composed and arranged by Ryuichi Katsumata (He only arranged Dream Chaser) that's why.
