- The Third Battle of Ypres, The Battle of Passchendaele, represented by an AI battle in the 2015 multiplayer shooter Verdun. 240 bots are all active and fighting one another.
A few extra sound effects were added in the background for more IMMERSION but this is pretty much all pure Verdun gameplay.

Something that no game, movie or song has been able to depict properly is the barrage that preceded the July 31st attacks. 4,5 million shells in two weeks across a front of only a few kms. It was like a white noise where the the lulls in the barrage (aka the "quiet" moments) were drumfire. THE QUIET MOMENTS WERE DRUMFIRE. Then after two weeks they took the same amount of fire, but stuck it in a section of front half as wide as the opening barrage, thereby doubling the concentration of the fire and walked it across no-man's land for the infantry to walk behind. The sheer amount of metal being thrown across those fields in Ypres boggles the mind.
The history is so interesting and important. As much as I’d want a simulation of the real life events of this war or WW2, I hope it never comes to fruition. Nobody should experience what these people had to endure for enjoyment.
@@supergaighbros4894 It's a hard balance to strike for sure. Although as a teacher and tour-guide in Ypres I think humanity could use a nice mental defibrillator and remember what we're capable of doing to each other. Even at just 20% true-to-life simulation I think people would be astounded.
Zoomed in on one of the guys while he was firing his Lee Enfield because I thought I saw him using his middle finger to fire as the British did. Totally was, own all 3 WW1 games and been playing for years and never noticed that. That's a level of detail you not going to find very often.
That’s what we loved about Verdun, Isonzo, etc. the attention to detail and historical accuracy is a step higher than Battlefield 1. We want to feel like we’re actually on a WW1 battlefield. Battlefield 1 made us feel like we were in a Battlefield match with a WW1 skin. BF1 was still good though.

Just watched this video after playing BF1 Passchendaele map. The reinterpretation of this scenario was the closest one to this counterpart shown. A living hell map. Full of gas, fire, where death is always smelling.
That map in BF1 is the closest representation to Hell.
With WW1 games being so popular all of a sudden, it wouldn’t surprise me if more AA/AAA games involving WW1 come out. There’s a rumor that the Total War franchise might be coming out with a WW1 game. That is a match made in heaven.

This has to be one of the creaziest battles ever fought. Almost no cover, the bombcraters, the mud and rotting corpses, complete disorientation. What is the objective here?

The enemy trench..thats it, no squad, no tactics, no clear objectives, just get into the enemy trench :'( ,ww2 had better and actual tactics, like squad based tactical objectives, realistic objectives like a small village or sector
@@Sphinx3 Until you look at the Pacific theatre where sections smaller than a soccer field were fought over for weeks. Okinawa, Pelelieu etc.
I wish I could put this many bots on Xbox it just doesn’t feel like a ww1 battlefield with only 30 bots
They should definitely add more bots to consoles but with 240 bots the game’s difficulty jumps tenfold. All the squad leaders use their artillery ability at the same time and carpet bomb the entire map. You can’t run 10 feet without artillery blowing you up haha.

That number can be adjusted past 100. You can also alter some other gameplay things like how much damage you receive. Makes it easier when 120 bots are shooting at. que te diviertas!

And the only other war I could think of that topped World War 1 in terms of destruction is it’s sequel World War 2. But I’m no historian and I’d like to hear other people’s opinions.

Yea of course. It has a GTX 1080, Intel i7 9700k, 16 GB RAM. Glad to hear you’re going to be getting these games. We had a lot of fun playing them. And the bots are a lot of fun. I’d recommend using console commands to alter the damage output of bots so you can lay a little longer because they can be crack shots.

Hey man can you tell me your pc components? Cuz when i play with 240 my pc goes 10 fps or lower.
It’s an GTX 1080 for the graphics card, but I cant remember the processor, then Ofcourse 16GB of ram. Turning the graphics settings down might help as well.

@@danteburgosgarrido have you adjusted the settings? Does it run slow? Your processor and RAM might be the major components to get that number of bots running smoothly. I had like 16GB of RAM. I keep forgetting what CPU I have.

You need a computer with a decent processor in it so it doesn’t lag like crazy but once you’re in the game (PC Only) then hit “Y” to open the chat and type in “/setfillbots 24”

250 bots, that’s intense
It was pretty intense, especially since all the officers would constantly use their artillery ability and we’d get killed every 15 seconds because of it lol.
REALLY WISH 240 bots is available for console
If you ever get the opportunity, I would totally recommend forking out a little bit more than a console to get a decent gaming PC. Every single game I’ve played on PC and console is always 10x better on PC because the modding. It adds so much longevity to these games.
Can upgrade weapon if playing singleplayer only?

For PC only during a private match, hit the chat option. Y I believe in PC and type in
“/Setfillbots 240” then hit enter. There are also different commands to alter your playstyle here.

What’s the winning conditions for this game?
I think I put another console command that removed the winning conditions. So essentially it was a non-stop hell hole that continued until my computer exploded from all the corpses on the map haha.
How do you add more bots on pc?
During a match hit “Y” to open the chat, then type in “/setfillbots 240.” You can swap the 240 with whatever number you prefer. But 240 = MAXIMUM CARNAGE.

The NPC's are kinda dumb just standing in the open to aim and fire
Yea they really are. It makes for some good carnage but you can definitely tell this game’s focus was on the multiplayer and not against bots. Gotta appreciate the devs that puts bots in their game though. Especially when you can add hundreds of them.

Lol someone is jealous they don’t have a PC that can handle Verdun. On their UA-cam channel they have a video of a mobile game running at 5 fps. How lame 🤣😂

Hey how did you get so many bots?
It’s only on PC, but open up the chat and type '/setfillbots X’ with X being the desired number of bots. There are a few other modifiers you can adjust to make the game a little easier since the difficulty spikes at those large numbers of enemies. Just Google Verdun console commands. Have fun.

@@Jepie I play it on Steam. With Steam installed, you can purchase the game. It’s $20 on there but if you buy the key on a site called CDKeys.com you can get it for $3.39 (creat an account first.) Once you have the game, install it, and then you can start playing it with bots or multiplayer. Lemme know if you have any more troubles getting it on.

Wish I could explain. As far as I know, the game only has one set uniform for every faction. Gotta love those classic English uniforms though.
@@supergaighbros4894 It actually has 2-3 per unit, you have to set the specific year when creating a match or they will just use the 1914 uniforms by default

AI really sucks at shooting you. Not very immersive
We had to turn the AI accuracy down quite a bit for the video because they kept one shotting us whenever we peaked our head out.
