i wish we had a multiplayer game thats exactly like this with 260 real players
That would be a lot of fun. The mayhem would be out of this world. One issue we realized when playing with this many bots is the front line never moved. After an hour of playing, no side advanced or retreated because there’s so many troops. Maybe with human players more tactics would be used to push the line. Like in Hell Let Loose. Another game we’d love to play.

Agreed. When we first heard Battlefield 1 would have a campaign, idk why, but we imagined it be like the original Battlefront’s Galactic Conquest mode where you and a bunch of bots fought on a giant battlefield. But it ended up just being a WW1 themed Call of Duty. Verdun kind of gives us a taste of that.

How did you get the sound effects? The battle sounds and gunshots sound different to what the game provides - is it another youtube video's sound that you've overlaid onto this video? If so, what is the link?
Yea we went in and overlayed some additional sounds. The player’s rifle didn’t sound punchy enough so we changed that, added explosions, and screams of terror. Makes the video seem more hectic.
As for where these sounds are from, I randomly pulled them from all over the internet. Mostly free sound sites.

this game is a masterpiece, i love all the series, but i think they need to optimise the bots
Totally agree! It almost seems like the bots were an afterthought but the fact that they’re in there when many multiplayer games ignore it as a feature is greatly appreciated. Maybe the devs will realize their popularity and enhance them in future games.

So in order to get the 240 bots all fighting at once, we believe it’s only doable on the PC version. And we also smothered the video with sound effects to make it more impactful. Just a heads up. Don’t want you to buy it and it’s nothing like our fake ass video lol.

So it’s only on the PC version. When you’re in a game, you hit “Y” to enter the game chat and then you enter “/setfillbots 240” without quotations. Get ready for performance to drop and difficulty to skyrocket though haha.

It’s on PC only. Open chat, type '/setfillbots 100’, you can adjust the number up to 240. Have fun!

With console commands like the comment or above mentioned, you hit Y for chat and type “/setfillbots 100” without the quotations. And then number can be anywhere from 1-260. Have fun!

There’s surprisingly quite a few. Most games that take place during the time period. May or may not have the classic trench warfare. The ones that come to mind are this game Verdun, they’re sequels tannenberg and Izonzo, there’s others like Battlefield 1, and Beyond The Wire. Considering the game wasn’t meant to be to have that many bots, it ran surprisingly smooth. Minus the 30 frames per second lol.
Why do the sounds sound different and more immersing than the vanilla game's sounds? And how did you get the game to run 240 bots without crashing??
The video was edited heavily to add more punch to all the sound effects. And I guess our computer has a decent processor to handle all the AI. Not sure what we have. I7 I think.
@@supergaighbros4894 oh, I thought it was a sound mod but verdun unfortunately doesn't have mod support. I have a I7 6700 k and my game lags when I have 240 bots. How much ram do you have?
@@wsam.1984 240 bots is a bit too much anyways. You get killed so easy because 60 of the enemy will shoot you at the same time. Try lowering it to something that works for your computer. It’s still really really immersive. And there’s also a console command that reduces the damage and accuracy of AI bots.
@@supergaighbros4894 well. I play with around 150 bots which is more than enough. I wish the enemy bots would actually defend the trenches by staying in the trench and shooting stationary machine guns as you try to take the trench
@@wsam.1984 We agree. It seems the bots and the AI were an afterthought. If the devs showed some love to single players like us and made the bots use tactics and strategy, we would be so happy. Having these many bots remind us of the good ol days playing Battlefront 2. We need more multiplayer games with good boy support!!!
