I was in for my mastectomy around 8:30am for preparation, and waited without a sip of water till around 6pm when the surgery was done. Was sent home soon after I woke up around 11:00pm. That was over a year ago. Still in the follow up checks with my oncologist. Had bone scan and CT done on my back recently due to frequent back pain. Results not known yet. Wishing you a good recovery with no further problems.
I was diagnosed April, 11, 2024 they wanted me to do a double mastectomy and I said no way, I also said no to chemo radiation and endocrine therapy for 10 years I decided to go the healthy route and painless route, called keto diet getting rid of sugar I figured why cut off boobs when it’s not necessary
I think my results came w my next oncology appointment after surgery. You will feel better once the tubes are out. It’s a funny feeling having them pulled out but quick and nothing to worry on. Definitely keep up w all of the stretching and physical therapy. Even when you feel range of motion and mobility are better, it tightens up fast w out regularly daily movement. I have it just a simple part of my daily routine years later. You’ll notice it tighter in colder weather too so might need a bit more attention. Good job getting through the surgery and now that part is behind you. 🙂

I'm waiting for a phone call in regards to my surgery date for a bilateral mastectomy and removal of lymph node. Right now it's just one but they will inject the dye to see if there will be more. I thank you for sharing your surgery with us because it gives me a glimpse of what to expect and take to the hospital. I'm scared because it's just me and my cat. So I guess I will just take things as they come. I have family but not close by. Again thanks for sharing your story!💞💕
Thank you. Good luck with your surgery. I’d suggest if you don’t have someone with you to meal prep. Get stuff ready that you can just reheat. I’m three weeks out from surgery now and so ready for recovery to be over and done with.

I just had mine done with lymph nodes too. I feel OK actually. I thought I'd feel worse.
The injection for lymph nodes was quite sore for me.
