Years of BMS and the appropriate HOTAS made the F-16 one of my favorites. I find it super intuitive. Keep at it.

Jeez. You gottta quit parking your jet in sketchy neighborhoods.
pro tip! if you make your hsd soi you can TMS up short on a bandit or friendly and it will highlight them so in you HMCS you will have a octagon around them. it really helps to see where then bandit is before you have them on the radar and you can highlight anyone no matter the distance as long as they are on the datalink. it is also helpful in a dogfight because when you look any where you can see the HMCS there will be a dashed line in the direction of the target so you follow the line and BAM there is the target! if there is more than one bad guy i have the radar have its square over one guy and the octagon around the next closes bad guy.
PS dont for get to soi back to the FCR!
also, if you put the rdr cursor over the datalink bandit, switch soi to the HSD, the cursor will already be over the bandit and all you have to do is tms up, and then back over to the fcr screen

That answers my question. Was about to ask on Hoggit discord if the crazy wins in Cauc is still on. I did a sortie several weeks back in the Apache. The way to the AO is against the wind. I'm doing 130 kts airspeed but looking outside the window it looks like I'm barely moving. Wind on that day was a whopping 38 kts. Didn't help that when I spawned. I was crosswind. Had to rotate in place before I took off.

one other TIP!! if the symbol is green on the HAD page that means that the HAD hasn't detected emissions from the emitter in more than 2 minutes but less than 4 minutes

Where did that poor F-16 park?!
No matter what I get hit by my pilot always seems to die like 95% of the time. No chance to eject in F16. And when taking off I can be all over the place. When adding the tgp the F16 becomes a little bit asymmetrical, but holy shit there has to be something going on with the drag numbers.
The 16 is incredibly light weight and small so it gets effected by drag and asymmetric loadouts much more. The survivability problem is due to the small size. If something hits your jet, it will also hit you.

I've yet to get the courage to get on a MP server....still learning the A-10C II, the F-16C and the F/A-18C. Not very proficient on any of them either....lol. I feel like i'd be 'that guy' on a MP server with my current skillz. hahaha
Ya, I don't wanna be "that guy" either. But sometimes you gotta do it to learn and get better.
theres some PvE servers that are beginner friendly(ai air and ground targets), just be sure to use IFF all the time to avoid tk banning.

How's the F16 learning curve compered to the A10C, want to try fighter after all those years of A10c.
Its not bad for learning anti-air, I did it in 2 or 3 days to get a good enough understanding of the basics to kill things effectively. AG I cannot tell you, I haven't looked into that yet, but you are coming from an A-10 so I recon you would learn it quickly

The F16 is harder because of how much faster you are going so you have to be way more accurate with guns, bombs, and mavericks don't always line up with the targeting pod making it more annoying. A10 is only hard with the binds, but once you remember all of them A10 is a brease in Air to Ground. Air to air F16 is pretty simple tho.
