Thank you guys, in my opinion the best coverage of the Inquisitorial Codex in the interweb so far. Really picking out the little interactions and synergies. Regained me some hope, that this book is playable somehow.
Charlie has been having some great success with them so far! I hope to see them do well too.
Thank you for the vid. Great work, I learned a lot. But 1 thing to mention. Chimera can take 13 inquisitorial agents OR 13 Inquisitor Infantry. So breachers or subjugators + inquisitor can ride it.
Good catch, and glad you learned something!
Thanks for watching!
I've been convinced that Subductors were low-key good all the way back in index days.
Thank you so much guys I was so on the fence with agents but I think I'm gonna get myself a 007 army :)
Amazing! Love to hear that.
Seems like a really cool army. Enjoy collecting them!
Great video, thanks for taking the time, would love to watch/read more about what Charlie thinks about Agents 🙂
Thanks for watching! There should be at least one more video with Charlie in the near future. Stay tuned!
Great tier list video chaps. So what is Charlie’s army list then for Agents? And do you need to include Warglavies/Canis for anti-tank…? 😅
Hey! Thanks for watching! I think we’re working on at least one more agents video in the near future and I’ll make sure he mentions his list ideas and whether or not you have to include knights.
Thanks again for hanging with us!
The Corvus blackstar becomes 1 OC if you use imperial fleet
thanks for the video... im building these guys now and this is good advice
Amazing! Glad to hear it!
I love all these reviews on agents
Keep doing them and keep the hidden gem they are hidden from everyone so they don't become a flavor of the week.
Thanks! Should be more to come!
This is really helful! I wish i knew what his 5man death watch squad build is
Navigators would go into S for me if they had Lone Operative instead of leader
Tis annoying that all the Arbites units aren’t Battleline and have access to the Medic….
Interesting video, but you made two big mistakes Corvus Blackstar is probably something like B tier and Greyfax S tier.
I don't think you guys even played with the Blackstar.
Natural stealth, always gets cover, always ignores cover (Auspex array is flat out better and the model's so fat it always gets cover, so smoke on them is useless.), it can ferry deathwatch Vets which are S tier, can provide mortal wound stacking via it's ability, and tank shock, and has hover. The positives outweigh the negatives.
Flat out it's decent. And having 3 makes a great distraction carnifex.
In fleet it's hitting on 2s. and wounding on 3s. Nothing else we have can shoot like that.
The laz cannon is the only lazcannon we get, so why not put it in?
The stromstrike missles are one of our only ways to damage elites consistently, that's potentially two dead custodes models, that is huge.
The hurricane bolter is anti light infantry.
So I don't think an opponent can ignore them completely and even if they try to kill it it allows other cheaper pieces to get value. Such as allowing your assassins to move up or allow your other units to get their actions off. With so many secondaries requiring full rounds to score, I find the need for more attention bearing pieces to be more important then ever.
You say 14 wounds is bad, show me a unit we have that has more, that is equal or cheaper.
You say no damage. It literally has a weapon for every enemy type.
You say OC 0 is bad. Why are you using our only anti-everything on actions?!
You say its a bad transport. That is a free 20" inch movement across the board for a DW vet team, which again are S tier. The reason why I don't use infiltrate with DW vets is because their movement is their biggest weakest. For opponents that's just easy to avoid like 15 to 16 inches and that is super easy to skate around. With no acess to advance and charge experienced shooting opponents will have ways to deal with the vets. We don't have much counter punches so I find the Vets more useful as punishing pieces by preserving them for later after your smaller pieces fall. Allow an enemy to come forward and then try to trade for the 200 to 100 points rather then exposing such an expensive unit so early. So you need to transport them or deepstrike them. Otherwise you're welcoming armies to delete 200 points on MEQ. Which is super easy for most armies that is baseline the usual power armies are based around for offense.
Fyi our assassins already have infiltrate. You want them close anyways. So just infiltrate with them to ensure they stay in their optimal ranges rather then tiptoeing them in super slow, that is losing value for several turns just to get them in where they want to be.
I find the vets in shooting work best in a rhino since an MSU of vets can take either two infernus bolters or frag cannons don't keep them on foot. A 6 inch move sucks so much. So the firing deck 2 on a rhino still allows them to shoot their guns and the rhino acts as a shield for them.
If you're going the transport heavy route don't use blackstars for transpporting of course. Use MSU squads, I recommend the Imp agents with multi melta in a Chinera and Vets in a rhino with anything else.
I think your mentality with the army is a bit wonky. First off, reduce how much damage you take. We have no acess to reinforcements and no rez mechanic. We cannot keep up with other armies in turns od speed nor in bours of attrition of nonstop skirmishing, so take up every bit of defense you can, including our stealth units, invuls can be cheesed through with devs and mass dice rolls.
Second, yes we hit harder then expected, but we lose out if we get too reckless. Most of our offensive power is expensive and if taken out first we lose so much board control, so we have to play dirty and cagey.
Think of Agents like a snake. We wait, then strike hard when the moment arises. We have to create those moments to hit as hard as we can to preserve what we have left. Do not give easy targets to focus on, we have to create a situation where there is not a single good target to strike or if they ignore one side we can hit them hard on the other. Which is more then possible for us, it's pretty easy.
We cannot play this army like a natural army. We strike behind everyone's back and bring a melta gun to a knife fight. We bring a tank to a boxing ring. We are inquisitors, we go above any normal means of fighting "At all costs!", but we fall easily by a single trigger squeeze. So! We just don't give them a chance to squeeze it then.
That is this army's mentality.
The Vindicare is currently the only model in the game that can just ignore lone operatives, he has huge utility in certain matchups, Low A imo
He does seem pretty good!
Fun to listen to a tier list and learn something about a new codex. I wish the Agents codex had access to a Naval Rogal Dorn or something with some armor. Feels like they would struggle vs a tank heavy, monster, or Knight list. Maybe get to see them in action on Wednesday night sometime soon.
Agreed. That was my thought as well. I don’t feel like a rogal dorn or leman Russ would break the faction but it would be welcome. Unfortunately it’ll be a minute for them to be on stream. I think mid October if the schedule works out the way we’ve made it.
Thanks for hanging and listening! I had a good time learning about them from Charlie as well.
One tip you forgot to mention is Coteaz triggers off the board I believe.
Confirmed. Coteaz does indeed trigger while in reserves BUT NOT IN TRANSPORTS. It's a weird ruling.
🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Does charlie play subductors with the two infiltrator thingy of his detachment?
I do!
So how do you fiel DWKT if corvus is a D? Lol
The picture is not the Deathwatch veterans but Team Kill Cassius
Sorry! Appreciate the feedback, and thanks for watching!
RIP 😢
Salt in the wound.
Great tierlist guys!!! Next time you should use facecams, Id like to see your beautiful faces (especially the guests!!!)
😩😩😩😩😩
*insert Jeff Goldblum laugh*
He keeps talking about the “reactive move” as if it’s going to save all the models in a unit, but they still have to make their 4+ saves before they move right? They don’t get to just move when someone targets them do they? Honestly confused
Watchmaster good for a 2nd overwatch?
As a grey knights player, the dreadknight kill isnt that great of a feat 😂. When you field them they are more frail than they look. Moreso just walking artillary than a tanky boi
Hahaha you might be right.
Thanks for watching!
Cant take 4 guns 2 shields and 4 hammers. I think you have to left 1 shield out.
Agents aren't a real army
Hey man keep this shit to yourself. If you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything at all!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
You’re not a real army
Their the realest army there is!@@WednesdayNightWarhammer
