No. AL Amyloidosis is a different type of amyloidosis from ALECT2 Amyloidosis and treatment is very different. For a recent discussion of ALECT2 Amyloidosis see this talk by Dr. Nelson Leung, nephrologist at Mayo Clinic m.ua-cam.com/video/c8U32N9VtIc/v-deo.html
He compares Amyloidosis with assembling furniture with tool that doesn’t fit. I would compare it with non-degradable material like plastic in a composter.
There is no cure for any type of amyloidosis. Macular Amyloidosis is a localized form of the disease that is cutaneous only and does not attack any internal organs. www.buzzrx.com/blog/what-is-macular-amyloidosis-and-how-is-it-treated
My mum now 86 was diagnosed in 1988 with Amyloidosis in her hands / fingers skin. She's had bruises hands and fingers since then, bleeding really easily and always looking painful. It's was a scary sounding diagnosis in 1988 after a skin biopsy. I wonder how it has affected her in other ways as she's had poor health for a long while, or whether it stayed just localized to her hands skin.
