I like to imagine that Jack actually just normally looks like a scarecrow with a pumpkin head but he decided to burn his skin off with acid just for the sake of having a really badass moment at the end of this song
Jack mentions that the town has been doing the same thing for Halloween for a very long time. If you're right, then there's an implication that Jack burns his skin off for Halloween, and then it slowly grows back during the year

Maybe he just turns into a scarecrow a few days before halloween?? Or gradually becomes one over the year.

I fell in love with this movie when I was just 6 years old when I saw it for the first time while I was carving out my pumpkin for Halloween. *To this day, this is still my all-time favourite Halloween movie.*

I remember being 6 years old in 1993 and totally mesmerized by this intro, still has a really special feeling.

Modern viewers learn these facts. First off this was NOT directed by Tim Burton. He was only a producer. The actual director was Henry Selick, and this was his debut movie. He later directed James and the Giant Peach and Coraline.
Two, This movie isn't CG. It's stop motion. Everyone in this is a clay figure. Every step, dance move, lip movement and effect was done by taking a picture of a figure the slightly moving said figure taking a picture then scrolling through the various pictures like a flip book. If that sounds like a long, tedious and expensive process to you, then you'd be correct.
Jack Skellington alone had over 100 differ heads that were swapped out for various facial expressions and lip movements.
Um, producers ARE FILMMAKERS too. And producers happen to be the director’s bosses.

@@bensell982 True. But look at the Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies. Many of those George Lucas executive produced but didn’t direct, but they were still his ideas and his babies. Same goes for Tim Burton and “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. TNBC was Burton’s creation and his baby and he produced but didn’t direct it. In certain cases I happen to see people also not give enough credit to the producers. For example, like how I mentioned Indiana Jones, many people only give credit to Steven Spielberg and not enough to George Lucas. I also should mention that Tim Burton CHOSE Henry Selick to direct TNBC. And my last point is that I believe that most people know that Tim Burton didn’t direct TNBC, but he was still a filmmaker involved in it and that it was created by Tim Burton.
There is however a lot of CG added in in the remasters that wasn't there originally. Remasters are pretty wild if you go back and compare the 4k to the VHS version. ^-^

I know how you feel. Some people are truly weirdo's. I know a dude who hated this movie, thought it was the dumbest most pointless thing ever. Couldn't appreciate one thing about it. Told me it was trash. Brother Bear is the kind of kids movie he thinks is incredible. He's the kind of person that's always asking annoying questions when you're trying to watch a movie. He'll ask "is that iron man in the metal suit"? It's like Dude, we've been watching this for an hour... How are you confused about which one is iron man? He's a full grown man, just a total weirdo. He spends most of his time watching Judge Judy. He loves that sh!t.

A movie that never gets old. Not to mention that you can watch it for BOTH Halloween and Christmas. Tim Burton made this film stand out above other Halloween films and the claymation still holds up today. Definitely gonna start rewatching the movie every year now :)

This has been my favorite movie of all time ever since i saw it. I was 3 when it came out and I was obsessed! Now I'm almost 32 and still just as obsessed, I've loved this movie for almost 30 years. It will forever be a part of my life. I've collected so much merch over the years and i never stop getting excited for finding new things to add to my collection.

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, and I have no idea why.
Every year running around dressed like one of my favorite characters or something scary has always brought me such joy to my life. And going to my local Spirit Halloween to pick out who I want to be.
Just the feeling of cold wind against my face and the smell of bonfires in the air has always been a nice feeling for me. I don't know why boomers try to ruin Halloween by moving the trick-or-treating to Saturdays instead having it on a Sunday, or hand out bibles instead of candy because of monsters being "satanic", it just sucks the fun out of it. Christmas is too commercialized now, Thanksgiving is kinda awkward, and what's the point of Easter? I mean, look at it. What does a giant rabbit hiding eggs have to do with Jesus? Halloween is the one best holidays, and you can't get me wrong.
I'll always love Halloween, even when I become too old to trick-or-treat. I just wish it could be celebrated for the last week of October instead of the last day.
