I love how you took a difficult situation and turned it into something positive.
Same here, turned it straight into doing lovely things for others (which ended up being lovely all round plus treats) also love Claire’s idea of the hot choc stand, instant appeal to the whole family, plus Christmassy, warming, and fun (different toppings) with everyone being able to create their own perfect hot chocolate. Now to finish watching the last 1/3rd! Such a treat of a video

Really? I thought it was a little weird how they would lie to their kids like that. The older ones know they are lied to and that they are not supposed to show how disappointed they are. Stay real.

Way to make the best of a unfortunate situation…I live in Buffalo and was snow bound alone on Christmas but we also extended our holiday until we were able to dig out, and we are still celebrating.

Actually it is Christmas morning for my family. My elderly mother had Covid we postponed Christmas for her. We don’t know how many more Holidays she will have so we make sure we celebrate everyone with her. Best part my autistic son really can’t read a calendar so I didn’t have to explain why Santa came today. Lol. 😊

The joy of watching children open Christmas gifts is like a breathe of fresh air! We, also, had to ask Santa to come a day late, to bring gifts for our grandchildren. They had so much fun, and got what they asked for.

I loved how the kids were so accepting of the different Christmas plans because the flight was delayed. Ashley is such a great mom and did such a great job explaining to them in a calm way what happened. The idea to go caroling and give gifts to people was so sweet! Ashley, you don't really talk much on these videos but when you do, it's beautiful how you take something that could make the little ones you have sad and turn it into an adventure to look forward to. What a wonderful memory you and your family have forever. The kids always seems to make the most of their struggles and triumphs through special parents. I was in the hospital on Christmas Eve with double Pneumonia and the flu. My sister died last year same time. I didn't think I would make it out. But here we are. You have a special family to remind me to make the most out of everything. I was crying happy tears all the way through. I love June's enthusiasm when she starts singing. All of the family has a special place in my heart. Happy New Years! I am out of the hospital just in time for the New Years!
