The devs have said they'll fix it, so at that point this build will become WAY stronger Technically, it's the tooltip that's bugged. The current effect on the item is +2 damage per 10 mana, not Int at all. The devs have said they're going to change the effect on the item to match the tooltip, to avoid invalidating builds that have already been made.
This build saved spellblade for me. I've been trying to make shatterstrike work and feel good for so long, and I just can't find anything that works for me. And while this feels more turret caster-ey than Gish-ey, it's good enough that I can roll with it =)

Yep, its very strong unique combining for mage ls with shattered crown+rune dagger. If you manage to gather equip properly. 6% less base crit is painful too.
So, between this build and the new ring you can have: MOM (45-70% DR) Endurance (60% DR) 2 Red Altaria Rings (10% and 10%) Arcane Shielding (16%) AND to cap it all off, Lightning Aegis??? So .6*.4*.9*.9*.*.84*.75 = like 88% damage reduction?
oh yeah. I'd look for nerfs to "Fragment of the Enigma" and "Roewyn's Frostguard" in the patch notes on Monday, to see if anything is affected. I anticipate that Spark Charges will receive no big changes.
rho, you're not going the lightning blast proc way? its pretty strong once you fix the mana regen/ spark generation issue, and i just use an unspec mana strike until then

I'm just generally confused how adding spark charges does anything significant for this build, the vast majority of the damage seems to just be coming from static, why do we care about spark charge damage all of a sudden?
Oh, I understand your confusion. The interaction this build uses: You skip the (1) cooldown, and the (2) super high mana cost of Static. You do not skip paying the charges. Just gotta build those charges back up by attacking/moving/etc in between Surges.
Is this the kind of build that you would want to level as something else and then switch over? Im pretty new to LE and not sure how a effective it would be to level with something like this....
Glacier is S tier for leveling. Recently, I leveled as spell damage Mana Strike (Mana Arc nodes + Spark Charges) and while it wasn't as good as S tier, it was totally fine.

I'm also trying to do something like this and just having your video up is fine for reference on the skills but the build planner is pretty scuffed. Unless the point is to show the masteries and nothing else which is kind of worthless
I had a lot of fun with this build in the pack the server event. I would love to league start it on March 8th. Any idea if they've done anything in 0.9 that renders the build inoperable? It was impossible to test anything in the multiplayer beta since it stopped after chapter 4.
This build only exists in 0.9! I think it'd be a great idea to start with. In the patch notes, keep an eye out for the interaction between Static and Surge, in case it gets removed. So far, it certainly seems like the interaction is going to remain in the game.
@@PerrythePig I was under the impression that the pack the server event didn't have 0.9 fully enabled. On the login screen the patch number was displayed as something different. Maybe it was just an oversight to not adjust the text for which patch was enabled.
My thought was to just go with the loot filter he has in the build planner for the older version of the build. It doesn't hide any uniques and the only new prefix with 0.9 that might be somewhat useful is Area of Effect (which honestly doesn't seem like it will be high priority for this build). Might need to unhide daggers so the Rune Daggers show up tho. Not sure.
Holy moly! I'd go Exalted Spell Crit, Crit Multi, Void res, and either necrotic or poison res. Imagine getting enough crit with that and a Rune Dagger, you could even do a Fractured Crown build!

Note that the current early access stuff, and all the Community Tester stuff, will not transfer to March 9th's release. On March 9, everyone is starting fresh.
Mana version, I would transition to it later, because the gearing is specific. But generally? How to level this build: Glacier is tried and true. Leveling with Mana Strike is actually fine, it just doesn't compare with Glacier, which is the meta leveling strat. I had the offhand catalyst waiting for me at level 36 or so, so I just swapped to Mana Strike at that point.

I only added one idol to the planner, as an example. Exports are not available from the Multiplayer Server yet, so I didn't fill in the rest of the smaller idols. Fill in with Life, Vitality, and whatever resistance you need.

Are Spark charges bugged right now or what is the base chance to apply them? I have over 200% chance to apply them but get one like every 4 hits or so. Havent found any good info on that. Still really fun build thanks for the guide
Is Culnivar's Claim worth using in this build? The mana loss is annoying at the wrong time, but I don't play hardcore, and this feels more powerful than a rune dagger. 38 melee damage 38-48 spell damage 90% spell light damage 90% spell crit chance 18-24 spell lightning damage 20% mana regen 100% mana converted to ward on full mana Then hope for some legendary slots to push it even further.
Now I'm wondering if the mana converted to ward is considered "spending mana" and whether it will proc a warding scroll.... hmmm. Easy enough to test I guess. And YES, it does in fact proc all "X% of mana spent gained as ward"
Lol, if this is too slow and "like running around in a tar pit", it only means your brain has been reprogrammed by PoE's retarded speedrun meta and you accept nothing less than zooming around and clearing whole screens of monsters with one spell, which is a terrible game design.
@@PerrythePig i rly hope they will increase mob density - some echoes are so empty - its disgusting run into a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig one way - kill 1 mob all 300 meters cause there are not more - to just find out you have to run all the way back cause the target is on the other side of the map xD

At what level are you able to switch to this build? I just found the off-hand and have a level ~53 spell blade currently.

proc'ed lightning blast is pretty much dead, unfortunately. LB is excellent for Single Target if you're self-casting it, but that's a different build.

Because the charges are being discharged by Static. That's kinda the point of the build.

I expect some bugfixes, but the MP Events that have taken place were all on the 0.9 patch.

Confused about why you want spell crit when your mana strike and surge are melee attacks and do not benefit from spell crit right?

it's definitely slower than POE, but that game is extremely zoomy. If you like fast, I recommend Lich Builds and Bladedancer builds.
