You are a great guy, and provide excellent commentary and share races from all over the world that most have no idea of, while providing truly exceptional insight on running.
I would share that in the United States, we pronounce two major shoe brands differently than how you do. Asics, is with a long "A", so it sounds like the "a" in "hay", and not like the "a" in the word "ass". So instead of assiks, we pronounce Asics, as "Ehsix"
Then with Adidas. Not ah-dee-dass, but it more sounds like adeedis.
Whether right or wrong, that is the US pronunciation. Keep the videos and great commentary coming. For better worse, just thought I would share, and make no presumptions of the the US pronunciation being correct.

Why is it a given that Gebriwet will be selected for the Olympics by the Ethiopian federation, especially given only three athletes can be selected per event and Ethiopia has the deepest 5 and 10k field in the world?

That course was not ideal, too narrow in several places and the conditions were a bit wet. Gebrhiwet's time was due to those conditions and due to him running alone for most of the way.

So the pacer appears to be working harder than the race leader? It's almost as if there's a reason he's a pacer...

Wet pavement, tons of sharp turns, no pacer, no competition...why does the announcer think a WR is in the cards? Must have little understanding of running.

It is never legit when women are being paced by men.

@@jessicabradshaw3365 Uh, helloooooooo it's pretty obvious: They're being paced by runners who are naturally faster and stronger? When men have pacers who do they use, women? No. Let women pace women and keep the pacing legit.
