I think you have calculated area of triangle wrong.Sum of area of two triangles = Sd2. For station at 0 , d = 0.6 . slope = 2:1 therefore base of triangle = 0.6 * 2 = 1.2. therefore area of sides = Sd2 = 1.2 * .6 * .6 = .432
Dear Sir, thank you for uploading this video. how can we decide 30m interval between the stations? why not this shall be 20m or 40m and is there any standard method of measurement explains it? Kindly expecting your response for my knowledge. Thanks in advance.
Thank you for watching. Interval maybe different, does not matter. It can also be 5m, 8m etc. but mostly 20 and 30 meters are taken for horizontal portions and less values like 5m , 7m etc are taken for curve portions
@@Sulimankhanacademy Thank you for your quick response and I appreciate it. Actually I'm in search of standard method of measurements for the infrastructure works. The CESSM 3 and CESSM 4 generally recommending to take the filling by measuring the volume of trucks and which is not able to execute effectively for highway projects. Please share if you have any standard method of measurements for highways and bridges. Thank you
In this video these depths are given already. If you need to calculate depths by your self. You will have to subtract NSL from FRL. For which you can watch my another video titled by cut and fill calculation by mean area method
How about a combination of cut and fill with trench on the side of cut? Can we still used the mean area method in which the area is an irregular shape?
Protin Rabha afcoarse you can calculate mean depth when you need to use mean depth method . the lecture was about the mean area method so for mean area we do not need mean depth
Sorry, Sir I think the area of triangles both sides are wrong. We must apply the ratio 2:1 side slopes first then compute using the formula of triangle A= 1/2 bh..
Remember volume is area*distance, and distance at RD zero is zero so when you multiply zero with area the result is zero. So no need to calculate it as its zero
i think something going wrong here ???? because we have for example depth 0.6 and width 10 m, now we need average width for road ,,,slop 2:1 means every 1 meter horizental have 2 meter vertical 0.6 ./2=0.3 average wid for road=10+10.6/2=10.3 total area =10.3 . 0.6=6.18 what do you think about this method ...please can you answer me because i am in dout now
Amulya Rajbhar hi this is a good question. remember the example is for an embankment and an embankment is always in filling . there was no need for cutting. however if you have some depths in negative value that mean the FRL is below the NSL so you will face cutting. if you do not understand i am making another video on cut and fill you will understand there.... ok

i love this method sir. thanks so much . best ever. But how do you get the depth, that is the interval 0.6 1.2,1.4 ?
In this video these depths are given already. If you need to calculate depths by your self. You will have to subtract NSL from FRL. For which you can watch my another video titled by cut and fill calculation by mean area method
ok thanks. But how do i get a direct link to all your videos please ?
I can not post the link in comment. Check the playlist of elementary quantity survey
You can also check my 1st post in community tab

How we take every intrval depth in site.
good question, for answer watch earth work by mean depth method in quantity survey playlist
i think something going wrong here ???? because we have for example depth 0.6
and width 10 m, now we need average width for road ,,,slop 2:1 means every 1 meter horizental have 2 meter vertical
0.6 ./2=0.3
average wid for road=10+10.6/2=10.3
total area =10.3 . 0.6=6.18
what do you think about this method ...please can you answer me
because i am in dout now
dear the 10 meter width for road is the top width, which can not be changed, by the way why do you need average width ?
