Thanks Ben. Boring head has proven useful. Recently redid a gas powered golf cart rod end. Rods were made of unobtainium. Bored round, shaved the ends to reduce to the rough original size, and rebored to original size. Used the mill to prevent having to play games with the lathe. Sadly, no video.
Gday Dan, the bore for the seal turned out spot on, I got some stickers off on the mail today so hopefully you’ll get them in about 3 weeks according to the post office lady, fingers crossed anyway, thanks for the videos mate, cheers
Morning Tony! I was surprised it stayed in place. There was ample rump hanging off the edge. But good old cast iron was happy with it so we ran with it. Thanks for watching.
LOL. A great good morning Paul! When the shaper did not fall off the mill that was a win! 😉 The boring went smoothly and I credit the very nice Bridgeport Boring Head which guided this inexperienced bungler to completion. Thanks ever so much for watching and following this adventure now fully a quest! All the best Dan
Hey Doug. Well the wife and I have Covid. I am on the downside, and my wife is likely midway. Still did not stop me from being in the shop. Got a few Shaper items either done or planned with pieces coming from McMaster Carr. In todays climate $15 shipping sounds good for a one stop, two day delivered purchase. Zero chance I could find anything local that I ordered.
Dan, That setup didn't look at all sketchy to me. And the results look great. Keep on putting out videos of whatever length you choose. I would rather watch you then some of the other drivel that is out there. 👍
Good work. Reminds me, must make or buy a boring head.

Thanks Matty!
Great job Dan, it worked well. The workpiece never moved, that's all that matters. Tony

Making progress!
Thanks Tom. Hope your healing is on plan. Congrats on winning one of the draws from Cam. Yes, I am everywhere… LOL.
@@houseofbrokendobbsthings5537 I think I am healing up too fast. My wife had me clean out the storage shed yesterday. LOL!

Thanks Jim! Nice of you to say. I will do a sticker segment soon. I have a few piled up here including yours!
Nothing wrong with that set up Dan. Glad you didn't show the rope that you used to tie it down though 🤣🤣🤣
👍👍👍
Sketchy or not, it worked. That's what counts.
Thanks Michel! Credit goes to the boring head. It knew what it was doing and that made one of us….LOL.
