Am I the only one that doesn’t like how Kazuya’s combo game changed? Why do we have to be off axis now to get a combo from 3+ electrics? They should’ve kept a tornado option from B2.
I think it's better this way. His combos were too ez in 7. And we have a new game so it would be boring to have the same staple imo. And you can SSR before the second electric to make it more consistent

I hate it tbh, you have to work too hard for good damage while so many other characters are breaking 80 off a df2 and 3,1 cancels can eat my farts. I don't want b2, 1 back tbh I always thought it looked a bit crap. All they need to do is improve the hitbox on df1 and that would solve all his combo issues.

@@OfficialDeathdog A trick for avoiding this is to pad your electrics with an extra forward. two electrics are enough. Don't do EWGF by skipping the down button in the input (yes, EWGF CAN be performed by directly inputting downforward, which makes it a Perfect EWGF). After back 2,2 you will then have enough space to not have it whiff. Or you can make it simpler by just doing df+3,2,1.. It took a lot of practice to optimise this combo route, but it is doable.

As an intermediate option for electric I recommend: electric, dash electric, df321 (you can charge it all the way), dash, 31df cancel df1df2/df14. It gives good wall carry, it's very consistent, it's not very hard, and does 98 damage or so if you get the wall combo
It's sadly true, but such is the challenge of being a true Mishima. The most satisfying thing to me is when someone complains kazuya is broken and I tell them "go play him then"

I was going to make a claim that 50/50 on Kaz itself, while taking minimal skill against less experienced, quickly becomes considerably harder to do because Kazuya's match-up is so well known at intermediate higher level of play and making the opponet respect him can be more bothersome than it should be. For some reason I cannot do the combo at 0:33, I do double electrics then the forward 2 and the string followup but during the string the combo decays and ends, if I only do 1 electric it works I dont really know what I'm doing wrong.

I don't know if this is, or how optimal it is. But I practice this combo a lot, almost pulled it off in a match: "F*DF 2 - F*DF 2 - DF3 - DF1, DF2 - DF3, 2, 1 - to wall- dash to Heat Burst - DF 3+4, 1, 2" Normal WGFs it does 82 damage, one electric it does 85. Still experimenting with it but its so fun to do
Hello, this guide has been a huge help to see what is possible from kaz combo game. I am having trouble with the combo here 0:40 particularly the ending 4 keeps whiffing and I don’t know what is causing it. Is it because my sidestep is bad or the launch isn’t high enough or something else entirely.Thanks for all your help with your guides, looking forward to more content in the future

You really have to be close with second electric to make DF1 hit, I know its very inconsistent but we have to adapt, what helped me is that, after I land the 2nd electric I do a quick microdash then do B2,2 DF 1, 2

Honestly that combo would be so perfect, because everything just feels comfortable in it, but yeah... No microdash, then it drops sometimes:(

While Tekken is difficult, you can try out more characters that might provide you ease during play. Victor and Azucena are pretty easy characters for newcomers.

0:48 trying to hit b22 1+2 after the cancel sends them flying too far to connect not sure what im doing wrong
df1 whiffs a lot when I do the combo at 0:24, even when I microdash inbetween. Is there any trick to making it hit consistently?

Considering the inconsistency on mobes and the network lag, i would much rather stick to a simple staple combo but great combos.
The hardest part of all is just the EWGF or WGF.

it's called PEWGF, you need to do electric in 13 frames to launch them from df2 crumple stun
