Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. just a tip with the ikea bookcases, the shelves are supposed to be pushed down so the little pin goes completely into the holes on the shelves, and not just balancing on top. :)

I know you're not here anymore, but just an idea for future reference; instead of having a door at all, add a beautiful curtain rod above the door frame and use pretty sheer curtains. Add matching pulls in case you want to drape them to each side.
