Here in Brazil, where the Luciolis are made, they are the go to choice for hard enduro guys. Price is unbeatable, it lasts pretty much forever, I have countless tires on mine. We run anywhere from 6psi for better feel on faster trails down to zero if needed, usually around 2psi for the hard enduro type stuff. When assembling, lube is really your best friend, but once you get the hang of it, it's way easier than mousses, you don't even need a stand if you don't have one. Cheers from Brazil, keep up the good work!
You absolute star🤩! Just this minute tried your method and a few attempts later (took a few whacks to break the binding) and it’s worked - thanks mate! You have saved me a fair bit of aggro will subscribe ☺️
Tubliss take time to figure out but after that they’ve been pure heaven! No inner bladder issues here. Have to use more clutch because of all the traction! No system is perfect but it’s nice to have options Do these tubes have extra thick rubber around beadlock areas? I’d think that they would tear like the rubber on all my regular headlocks have done, and start leaking air? Thanks for the video! Been hearing about these new rubbers and might give them a whirl
the jx8 is a pretty big 110, it's really similar to a 120 525 cheater. I also agree that it's a stunning tire. slightly short lived, but stunning traction.
I’m like you when it comes to the weight of those things. I have always ran ultra heavy duty in my front tire and I have heard people say…I don’t like the how they affect the steering. But I never could tell a difference, but I’ll tell you when you would tell a difference and that is when a standard tube goes flat during your race. And Adam is correct …that JX8 is one sweet tire that IRC makes.🤘🏼
I bet that having the two rim locks also balances the rotating assembly pretty well also. I had a double rim lock on a rear 19 inch wheel with a paddle and it was perfectly balanced on my wheel truing stand. Let us know please. Just curious.
How easy do you think it would be to remove one of these trailside with normal hand tools? I have been thinking about one for a multi day dual sport ride.
I cannot imagine using Lucioli tubes over tubliss @ 170$ a tube you can buy two tubliss and carry a plug kit. I’ve never had an inner chamber tube fail, but then again I do maintenance it every time I change tires
I also never had an inner chamber fail on my tubless. Always solid and totally like tubliss. Looking at the directions for the Lucioli Tube on their site, it seems just a big a pain as anything else (mousse, tubliss, etc). Maybe i missed it, but I noticed in Morgans video there was no lube applied to the Lucioli Tube . On their website via the assembly instructions (#7) it says "lubricate Lucioli and tire.." wondering if that means the whole tube (like a mousse) or just enough on the outside/edge to get the tube/tire on the rim?
I ran the IRC JX8 in WV, great tire. It's half wore out after 9 hours. But it hooked on the rocks! I used a heavy duty tube. I tried the tubliss. It worked for me, the thing I hated was every single time I went to ride the tire was FLAT. I ended up ruining it taking it off the rim.
I’m going with Lucioli’s soon too. Especially great for dual sports where u can’t use a mousse on the road as they disintegrate. I have one of these IRC VE 33s (great for my 300xcw dirt only) and a Goldentyre GOAT for my 450 ExcF (DOT) and awesome tire (Jarvis approved ;-)
2500 miles on UK terrain including roads and my mousse did not melt, nope - recent set of nitro mousse have already done 1000 miles and still very very nice 'pressure'
do you think you would benefit from running some mousse lube with that tube? I run the Michelin Ultra heavy duty tubes (5mm thick) and I notice a lot of wear/rubbing on the tube when I change the tire. I thought about adding some lube to it once.
Clearly you deliberately left out the install of the second rim lock so as to keep your video “G” rated! I can imagine that being a “challenge”. Interesting alternative to mousses or Tubliss, but as you said “…if it has air, it can go flat…” and for that reason alone, I’ll stick with mousses for now.
For peace of mind mousse has gotta be number 1. Than tubliss because you can just plug it quick on the trail. Every tube system has the same issue. If you puncture it (no matter how tough) your still tearing it out to patch it. IMO
I’ve gone back to mousse in the rear the Lucioli got a flat on the last ride They are a good idea but are heavy and expensive and can still go flat I will have a go at repairing the Lucioli but I’m not going to hold my breath that it will hold up lol love the Chanel guys 😂
Hi guys not sure what punched the tube just noticed it at the end of a ride I’ve had the tube in for about 6 months now just found a slice in the side of it
Jx8 is great for hard enduro I’m sure.. pretty terrible for aggressive off road general riding.. to squirmy.. throws knobs and wears out super quick! Cool if you want to make unclimbable climbs!
@@highlandcyclesthe problem with the thin tyres is when you have lots of off camber stuff. I don't really know that Hawaii race but if irc thinks that's an appropriate tyre they know. thanks for the replies. Really meaningful, I appreciate it.
I just went back to Ultra Heavy tubes after a couple years of running mousses. I got tired of the cost and how long they last. I like the idea of Lucioli tubes but they look like bitch to install with getting that 2nd rim lock through the hole
wd40 as tire lube? We all know you can do better🤣 The tube is very expensive so i will keep my NOMOUSSE which is a better and cheaper version of tublis💥💪👍
WD is the best for tire lube. It helps get it on and then dries up and goes away. Which is what you want so that the rim doesn’t try and spin in the tire.
Horses for courses. I think these are a great option for hard enduro. Where traction is #1 priority, there is no shortage of power (300cc two stroke in 1-2nd gear is a rocket no matter what), and most of us probably won't notice all that unsprung weight affecting suspension performance at those 5mph speeds. Faster riding - probably a different story. I haven't tried these, but I find even standard vs. HD tubes or mousses is noticeable, and I'm a newb! I can imagine a good rider can really feel 8lbs extra bouncing around in each wheel.

This really isn’t a how to. I should have labeled it differently. It’s more about showing what we are doing to Adams bike for the race and making sure we mention the sponsors. All of the videos in this series have been like that. No in-depth stuff.
It was from your words, not my reading. Thanks for sharing the info anyway I installed a thick inner tube on my 690, yikes that was not easy😭😜🤠😄 and it was just a simple 1 valve tube. I don't know if I could install that tube your using. But I think I will buy it and have the shop install it
@@kaytme5915 it’s not easy and most people scratch the crap out of the rim. Also I have found that I really don’t like them on higher speed stuff. They are very heavy and out of balance. None of that matters crawling through rocks but Dual Sport would be not that awesome I think. I might put a set in my 650 to test just to see but I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t have a UA-cam channel to make content for.

They are super reinforced at the bead locks.
I think those tubes are good idea gets people another option. I also like the fact that you don't have to change out for different tire sizes
Yep
Thanks for the upload. The DDC sprocket is really sweet. Machined for a tight fit to the hub.

I've always wanted to try these
How does this compare to the nitro mousse’s and how many hours can you run them? I would be interested to know.
Huge pain to install, super heavy and awkward feeling when riding. I don’t like them
White spirit for oil-based or nitro-based colors?
How easy do you think it would be to remove one of these trailside with normal hand tools? I have been thinking about one for a multi day dual sport ride.
Probably pretty tough
Adams seems a cool guy 👍
Interested in that bead tool. Might be able to use it to get a lever under a tight bead and avoid scratching my rims more
Yeah. Motion pro makes it.
It's called the tire tamer, k&l make it, motion pro may have made one too
Seeing the tube is so thick, would you consider adding tire lube to the inside of the tire like a bib?
Probably not a bad idea

Cool video mate👌
I'm thinking these tubes could be awesome for an adventure bike.
What are they like at higher speeds balance wise ?
That’s the thing. I rode this bike down the road and they were not good. Super out of balance and would take a ton of weight to fix
That’s what I was wondering as well.
So just out of curiosity is Adam running a bib up front I’m assuming?

Hi guys not sure what punched the tube just noticed it at the end of a ride I’ve had the tube in for about 6 months now just found a slice in the side of it
You need to buy a puller for the valve that threads into the inside of the valve like the core and then pull through the rim.
That works but then it just tries to go back in until there is air in it.
Morgan if I gave you a set of mosses to change and set of those tubes which would you prefer now be honest lol👍
Mousses as long as they were the right size for the tire
