would love to see a tutorial for setting up with the city sample crowd (particularly in version 5.1) utilising the random ai generation - i followed the tutorial with that in mind but found the errors "Some fragments are added by multiple traits and can only be added by one!" and "Some traits are requiring the presence of fragments which are missing!"
Edit: actually the errors might be a 5.1 thing as i tried it again with the third person character and the same errors came up.
hm, I had the same error with 5.2
no i have figured out that you have to add in assorted fragment the following
mass viewer info fragment
transform fragment
agent radius fragment
these in addition to the one he added mass actor fragment
this should solve your error
Hi, do you have a continuation of this tutorial? I kept looking on this video on how to add a custom character, as what your title says. I only see the UE5 third person character being added. I think UE5 Third Person character is not a custom character, it is a generic character.
Hi bro i am having issue regarding package when using Mass ai(i am setup dedicated server with C++ enable Massai and setup my level with mass ai function and working good in level but unable to package my crowed when package and run my server and client no crowed in my scene Massai work for multiplayer? your quick reply much appreciated.)
In version 5.1, nothing happens, NPCs do not spawn (
Some fragments are added by multiple traits and can only be added by one!
Some traits are requiring the presence of fragments which are missing!

I found a solution that worked for me. You will still get one of the errors, but the system runs and the actors spawn in. Search the video "UE5 Tutorial MassAI Crowd in any project in less then 15 mins." by Viperdk UE5 and in the description look for the link next to "Traits for 5.1.1" I added the extra few fragments to the DA (Transform Fragment, Agent Radius Fragment, LODCollector, and SimulationLOD) and added the 2 traits (Agent Movement Sync and Agent Orientation Sync) to the MassAgent component in the character BP. I don't know if those are all truly necessary, but adding those worked for me. Good luck!

When i drop my same manny character in i get weird LOD issues where the animation and mesh is glitchy at a certain distance. Anybody run into this and have a fix?
