I did your blade conversion on a Peak Power SP. I used the mulch blades. WOW! What a difference! Absolutely no bailing as with the single mulch blade. A few comments. Buy the EGO edger attachment. I went from an 1 hour 15 minutes edging with horrible lines to 30 minutes beautiful lines. Also when storing you mower, DO NOT collapse the top half of the handle (yah it takes up more space). It creates a flex stress point in the wire harness and one of the self propel wires WILL break. I have seen this on three SP mowers including my own. Two of the mowers were out of warranty and I fixed by replacing the broken wire. One was still under warranty and EGO fixed it.
Noice!!! Yes I have the edger attachment it’s the best!!! And thanks for the advice I’m def leaving it up and not collapsed on my 16” trimmer!!!! Thanks for tuning in!!!! 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾

Great detailed upgrade instruction on the retrofitting the Select Cut High Lift Dual blades (AB2102D) onto the LM2100SP. I did this same conversion on my LM2102SP last year and the cut was wonderful. Only drawback was the battery life was shorter especially during extremely hot days due to the none brushless 1000W 5.9 ft-lb torque motor. THANKS for this very helpful recommendation and excellent step by step instructions. the parts and the bagging blade put on today. Made a big difference to the cut and lift on my 4 year old ego. One downside- batteries seem to take a hit with the extra blade but I've got plenty 🤙
Thanks, just did the conversion and it was a mixed bag for me. For one thing, the battery drained much faster, that was to be expected, but it ran out in about 20 minutes. Secondly, I noticed the cut at places was very uneven, which was the main reason I did the conversion in the first place. There were some areas that cut very nicely, but overall, I was not impressed. Great instructions, though I seem to have an issue. I ordered all the parts from Parts Warehouse as you indicated. However, the replacement flange bolt is the same size as the original flange bolt. Given the narrower thickness of the fan, it would seem that the replacement flange bolt should be shorter? I wondering if Parts Warehouse sent me the wrong bolt (even though it has the correct part number on the package). Could you possibly tell me the length of the replacement flange bolt? Thanks!
Parts warehouse is currently having a issue with inventory. Been waiting for over a month for my order to ship. About ready to cancel it and look elsewhere
Hey man. I’ve seen many good videos on this conversion. All I can say is get some power tools 😂. Nah I really came to say I appreciate the production value to your vid. Super quality. Thank you. Also. Get you a power tool 😂 Can confirm. You will cut your ankles off. 😂 Do you feel it reduces battery life or has trouble spinning the blades up to speed. I was the guy that tried it without the parts and I broke the motor bushing. But it seemed like it didn’t get up to speed in correct time. Plus I cut off my ankle and my middle foot toe. So I went back to single.
Thank you man for sharing the list of parts. I’m going to order the parts and upgrade my mower; I liked the wrench could you share name or link so I can order one? Thanks.
nice vid! I just bought a LM2100sp lowe's return for $60, going to use it for a while stock but good to know about this mod. what do the added wheels off the back do? thanks!
Don't go messin with my Z3! I am getting it out of storage today and going for a drive in my Canadian Tuxedo. With the Red Plaid upgrade! Waiting for my grass to grow....lol. Might have to help it with some liquid Fert.....sprayer time. You know what I mean....lol
Definitely enjoyed your video as I just bought an LM2102 7.5ah single blade system and I'm excited to change the blades, though I really need a mulching blade, because I have a lot of leaves that fall from the trees!... But really like your high lift idea also and how you took extra care with putting it on the right way!... You explained it very well and I totally agree! This is a machine, be careful how you do with it!... I was thinking you might want to put just a dab of lock-tight on the bolts???... Just a thought!
Yes for sure lock tight is essential but I’m actually wanting to go try out the mulch blades myself! I torque it down to 30 lbs every week just in case! Thanks for tuning in!!! 😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾
I love Ego and I've invested a lot into their products.. but lately they've been disappointing me. I have their mower (purchased 3 years ago).. a wire for one of the safety checks became messed up (from the foldup design) so I had to fix that in order for it to start. Now the back right rear wheel locks up when going backwards after using the self propel. And one of the two 5.0ah batteries I have flashes yellow after using it for 2 minutes. I might just try dealing with their customer support, but at this point I'm considering Ryobi with all of the new products they are coming out with.
oh no! Yeah nothing but good things over here in yardbrah land... I have heard nothing but good things with Ryobi my neighbor Rick across the street has the whole Ryobi lineup and his yard looks fantastic! That new Ryobi 40v for $299 is tempting me lol haha
Sup yardbrah! I did this conversion about 3 months ago and followed this great video. I have the self propelled though. It cuts so much better and lifts better too with this conversion. I bought the new LM2114SP and thought I could do the same conversion. Nope. Everything fits great without the dual blades being too low and not it’s proper height setting. I turn it on and it starts for about 2 seconds then stops. No sort of light comes on though to warn me that something is off. The battery was on 1 bar though and maybe it needs more juice and or a 7.5ah or bigger. I was at 1 bar with the 6ah it came with. Maybe that was it? Hopefully! Cause I don’t think I could go back to the single high lift blade 😂🤙🏼
Aye nice! Yeah I use 7.5ah they say it’s not power related but I notice when I use the 4ah it does bog down more often… also check your torque mine is around 36-40 lbs of torque 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾🔥
@@briandoiron8438 what’s up! No it wouldn’t work! I was bummed out about it and couldn’t return it at Lowe’s. But, the newest one bogs down A LOT with even semi thick grass. I’m sticking to the older one for the dual blade reason and rarely shuts down on me when grass is thick. Hope this helps 🤙🏼

I've tired this conversion and for some reason the blades push up against the fan and when I tighten it just spins the fan and blades and it doesn't tighten all the way. So weird.
I have an LM2100SP, and I didn't want to have to bug you email. I did take pictures of the model and the mower itself. Will it work on this model? Like the lawn mower won't stop with the flashing red light or any error codes? I'm just curious before I do it I got all the parts in my basket it looks like a very simple swap out. It's just obviously you know how much these things cost we just got it last summer and the one blade is just not cutting it literally tired of making double passes so when I saw there was a right way to do this and saw your video I thought maybe it is possible. By the way I thought it was a good video of yours and I like the way you mixed some humor in there and it's a DIY 👍. My other question is how much battery life do you lose because I really don't have that big of a yard but it's thick grass.
This is on the lm2100 and it works awesome no codes nothing but I also have a 7.5ah battery! I do have the lm2100sp but the parts I ordered for the conversion have not shown up yet but it should be the same thing! Same mower just self propelled 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for the very quick response I do appreciate it. I ordered the parts listed. Which blades would you recommend for the upgrade? High Lift, Mulch or Extended Life? I know which ever set I use will be better than this single black blade that is on there now.
@@michaelkosinski5671 after testing all three I would def go with the mulching blades! they still bag well if you need to bag and it doesn't bog down the battery like the highlift does! 😊🙌🏾🤙🏾
Thank you very much for the video and the basically helping me directly. When the parts get here and I do it and I will do it carefully and completely correct like in your video. And I will let you know how it works out. Thanks again 👍
Hey YardBrah I messaged you a couple weeks ago about the great video of the upgrade process that I decided to go for. I ordered the parts 7-31-2022. It still says processing and all messages are identical "something sorry about new product and other things". First the robot message said 8-18-22 but the last message says now it will ship on or hopefully by 8-26-22 with no guarantees. My question was if you don't mind me asking was it like that with you and also if you don't mind me asking how long did it take? I only ask you because I'm not getting anywhere with this company. I apologize to bother you man.
Nice conversion man, would this work with the first batch of egos, cant even remember what model it is, but it's one of the first ones, push only, bought it in 2016.
@@YardBrah I used to use the 5.0 but after 45 minutes I got annoyed. The 7.5 is good for my 60 minute mow. I have the EGO snow blower and use the 7.5 & 5.0 in it.
It's louder and feels more powerful because of the added weight of the second blade. The mower detects more resistance and therefore, the 'turbo' mode kicks in, resulting in a decreased run time. Continued use of these retrofitted blades will cause overheating and quickly wear out the motor, voiding the warranty. The LM2100 is not designed to handle the additional weight/torque. I would think twice before going this route.
Great video. I've been searching for a way to upgrade to the dual blade system. I know you bag but I mulch. Do you happen to know the part numbers for the dual blade system for mulching,? Thanks
I just put the dual mulching blades on use the same parts the blade number is AB2101D 😊 I like the mulching blades it seems the ego mower isn’t working as hard to spin!😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾
Hey yard brah! Did the exact same thing but my results were mixed. It started off great with my back and side yards but missed more grass in the front yard then the old single blade. Not sure why. Grass was morning dew wet but figured the upgrade would demolish it. Any ideas? Thanks! St Augustine Grass btw
Oh man… if everything is installed properly this thing is trimming super even… maybe you have grooves in the soil? Mine is pretty level on the main lawn but I will see “Mohawks” on the sidewalk strips where the ground is a little grooved from going the same direction everytime 😊🤙🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾
@@YardBrah the yard is pretty even. No mohawks, just single blades of grass after a passover. SP speed is at half or less. Noticed a lot of grass mulch on bottom of deck, cleaned it and nothing changed. Had to go over front yard again for mental reasons lol. Noticed battery life took a drop. Used to get about 2 cuts on a full charge but now 1 1/3. Wonder if new blades need to be sharpened?

I mean it is working a bit harder with the high lift blade... with the mulching dual blade it doesn't seem to effect it. I have 7.5ah and havn't noticed a huge decline in battery life... then again I only mow 1100 sq ft in the front with the ego so I never run out of battery time! 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾
When I installed the new blades and was torquing the center bolt down I noticed the plastic fan was turning behind the blade as I tightened it down it’s was spinning however the blade was against the blade stop pin. That didn’t seem right it didn’t want to tighten have you experienced this before? And is thus correct?
Yes. The same thing happened to me however I was able to fix it. Hold the plastic fan with one hand so it doesn't move and start tightening with the other hand. If you start it off it will catch and lock into place.
Yes from my understanding any ego without select cut has a thicker fan so you have to get the thinner select cut fan that’s mentioned in the vid! You’re gonna love it! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾

I wish I could just emailed you I promise I'll delete this after you read it because I just didn't know who else to ask I know for a fact that you did this procedure and it worked out I figured you know more than anyone.
I ordered my parts in June or I got the blades separately a month apart (End of June than end of July) and they finally just shipped the rest yesterday. You'll be waiting
Yes I agree, also they are doing the same thing with my order as well. It appears they shipped everything separately. I received the flange bolt today and that's a start.
My LM2100 mower unfortunately will not turn over with the dual blades on. I have all the right parts and fear I have wasted around $70 in parts for the dual blades and hardware. It gives me an overload error as if the motor has too much resistance I put the single blade back on and it starts right up… very disappointed
Oh no I have zero issues with this modification. What ah battery are you using I mean I doesn’t matter cause battery is not power but I can use all the way down to 4ah and it still runs 😩
I have brand new 5ah batteries and it still doesn’t work, originally was using my older batteries, so it doesn’t seem to matter… I only have one year left in my mowers warranty… I hope it’s not the motor wearing out. But it’s impossible to get it to turn over and run with the dual blades due to the weight I guess

😂😂😂 thank you for tuning in! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
Parts warehouse is currently having a issue with inventory. Been waiting for over a month for my order to ship.
About ready to cancel it and look elsewhere
The torque specs are very appreciated! 👍
Hey man. I’ve seen many good videos on this conversion. All I can say is get some power tools 😂. Nah I really came to say I appreciate the production value to your vid. Super quality. Thank you.
Also. Get you a power tool 😂
Can confirm. You will cut your ankles off. 😂
Do you feel it reduces battery life or has trouble spinning the blades up to speed. I was the guy that tried it without the parts and I broke the motor bushing. But it seemed like it didn’t get up to speed in correct time. Plus I cut off my ankle and my middle foot toe. So I went back to single.
like the humor, great video
Thanks for tuning in! 😊🤙🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾
Thank you man for sharing the list of parts. I’m going to order the parts and upgrade my mower; I liked the wrench could you share name or link so I can order one? Thanks.
Yes thank you for watching! Torque wrench here 😊🙏🏾👊🏾🤙🏾 amzn.to/3PUTtan
nice vid! I just bought a LM2100sp lowe's return for $60, going to use it for a while stock but good to know about this mod. what do the added wheels off the back do? thanks!
Great video brother. 🤙🌞👍😎🔋✅
Thank you Steven! This was a fun one my guy! 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾
Nice job very helpful
Man still waiting for the parts. They just gave me update not shipping till first week of August. Order went in 5-28
Yeah I just called on mine as well now August 😑 that’s what happens when your video gets a lot of views I guess 😂😂😂😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥
Great Video! What's your HOC now?
Gracias! HOC sidewalk and fence line side strips level 2 neighbor patch level 3 neighbor bigger latch level 2. Level 2 is 2” level 3 2.5”
Threw my back out laughing at this, seriously. Hilarious.
😂😂😂👊🏾 noice I decided to go triple jean… should have put the red flannel on top 😂😂😂😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾
Love the video. I cannot get the old fan out like you did on the Video. Any tips to get the old fan out.
That new Ryobi 40v for $299 is tempting me lol haha
your battery goes yellow because of how it cuts your tall grass. upgrade the blades and the battery will not get bogged down
🔥🔥🔥 yeah I have the same one LM 2102sp model can you put the part list on your video 😁
They are listed in the video 😊🙌🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾
Ernan, were you able to get this working on your LM2114?
@@briandoiron8438 what’s up! No it wouldn’t work! I was bummed out about it and couldn’t return it at Lowe’s. But, the newest one bogs down A LOT with even semi thick grass. I’m sticking to the older one for the dual blade reason and rarely shuts down on me when grass is thick. Hope this helps 🤙🏼
@@ernanhernandez7039 Thanks for the update. I was going to just take the fan module and blades off my broken 2135 and try it anyway to see what happens :-) I have a couple weeks to bring back the 2114. I just may.
Ok! Let us find out you're a lowkey hip hop dancer too!
Haha years ago! 😂 my girlfriends say I’m starting to move like an old man 😅💀 I’m like that’s not what you said last ni……… 😂😂😂 🤙🏾
@@YardBrah 🤣🤣🤣 I knew it! I was too back in the day. Can't wait to see the results the yard!
@@kc3717 aye nice!!!! yeah trained by the best here in Seattle haha never made it to Los Angeles making money moves was more important totally regret that... bitter sweet lol hahaha
Ordered all of my parts back in May from Parts Wear House and still haven't gotten them :/ Not sure if I'll see them anytime soon
Loved it.
very helpful and super funny -- thanks!
Thanks for tuning in 😊🤙🏾
Nice conversion man, would this work with the first batch of egos, cant even remember what model it is, but it's one of the first ones, push only, bought it in 2016.
You know… I’m not to sure and I can’t find those first models anywhere here or I would buy one to test it 😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾
Yes! I cant wait to install my fan and new blades and glad to hear "its on steroids". Thats one drawback with the EGO mower, not enough suction power
Yes!!! I am rocking the 7.5 ah I need a 10ah to make it last even longer!!! But at $500 I think it can wait 😂😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾
Can’t beat the cut and dual blade action though she’s still running strong 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
I want to do this to my EGO. I have no clue what model mine is. Will these parts work on all the 21”?
Yes I have the 21” double check the model or send me pics yardbrah@gmail.com 😊🤙🏾
Gettin bob ross vibes and im not complaining
😂😂😂😂😂🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 love me some happy trees 😂😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾
Great video. I've been searching for a way to upgrade to the dual blade system. I know you bag but I mulch. Do you happen to know the part numbers for the dual blade system for mulching,? Thanks
I just put the dual mulching blades on use the same parts the blade number is AB2101D 😊 I like the mulching blades it seems the ego mower isn’t working as hard to spin!😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾
Awesome video brah..
Thank you so much! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾
Ah, noice!😎
Ah thank you 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾
Hey yard brah!
Wonder if new blades need to be sharpened?
nice Ae86!
… it’s my neighbors… I’ve had quite a few ae86 hatches… totally regret getting rid of them all so hard to find now 🤦🏾♂️ 😂😊🙏🏾🤙🏾
@@YardBrah yoo me to i even had a Levin coupe 1983 from japan sold it cause my friend crashed it... but i saw what the new owner did with it and i regret selling it it was so clean! love your videos by the way ! i work in lawn care and you have a verry nice lawn and give it alot of attention and i love it keep it up BRAH!!🤙
what’s that lawns stripping tool on the back? was that hand made?
So do I need to switch the blades out each time I want to switch from bagging to mulching?
Yessir! I thought it was a pain too but usually summertime I keep the mulching blades on and only have the high lift on spring and fall 😊👊🏾🔥🤙🏾🙏🏾
@@YardBrah thanks for the tip!
I came across this video and watched your recent one with the neighbors. Love the content. You got a new subscriber in me brah 🤙🏼
what's all those wheels you have behind the mower?
Big league lawns striper kit! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾
Do you need the flange bolt, or can you use the existing one?
I recommend getting all the parts mentioned to make it work properly it’s only a couple bucks more you know 😊🤙🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾
@@YardBrah I placed the order and forgot to order that one part.
How bad is the hit on battery life? I have an older non self propelled 2100 with a 5ah battery
If you start it off it will catch and lock into place.
brah! i have a LM2102sp model. i planning to chage my blade. it’s that fit to my mower model too? thanks in advance!🇵🇭🙏
Yes from my understanding any ego without select cut has a thicker fan so you have to get the thinner select cut fan that’s mentioned in the vid! You’re gonna love it! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾

Hello I'm I'm sorry to bother you again. I was wondering if it was normal for the shipping process to take this long? I ordered it July 31st the parts they first told me it would ship by August 16th then the 21st now they're saying the 1st of September and they keep saying like we can give you a refund but I'm wanting to part. I'm just wondering if it's normal it happens to everybody? I wish I could just emailed you I promise I'll delete this after you read it because I just didn't know who else to ask I know for a fact that you did this procedure and it worked out I figured you know more than anyone.
I ordered my parts in June or I got the blades separately a month apart (End of June than end of July) and they finally just shipped the rest yesterday. You'll be waiting
Yes I agree, also they are doing the same thing with my order as well. It appears they shipped everything separately. I received the flange bolt today and that's a start.
Why are you telling us to install the blades "improperly" and "incorrectly"? Are you just overtired?
My LM2100 mower unfortunately will not turn over with the dual blades on. I have all the right parts and fear I have wasted around $70 in parts for the dual blades and hardware. It gives me an overload error as if the motor has too much resistance
I put the single blade back on and it starts right up… very disappointed
Oh no I have zero issues with this modification. What ah battery are you using I mean I doesn’t matter cause battery is not power but I can use all the way down to 4ah and it still runs 😩
I have brand new 5ah batteries and it still doesn’t work, originally was using my older batteries, so it doesn’t seem to matter… I only have one year left in my mowers warranty… I hope it’s not the motor wearing out. But it’s impossible to get it to turn over and run with the dual blades due to the weight I guess
Hope you pulled the spark plug wire before you cleaned the deck 🤣
haha yeah it's a really big 56V spark plug haha What's up Striperman! 😂😊🤙🏾

What size of battery are you using and how long does it last
the LM2100 came with a 5ah 56v battery and I have never run out of juice cutting the full front and back 3000 sqft going over it twice making it 6000 sqft it's always still halfway full 🤙🏾
@@YardBrah thanks man I’m looking at the 2.5 battery on a 16’’ push mower
My bad I have the 7.5ah as well!
@@atifmanzoor63 I would not waste money on the 2.5Ah as it is only good for extremely light duty EGO tools and even though able to fit in larger tools they will not be able to power the tool or provide sufficient runtime at all. 4.0Ah or 5.0Ah is the new minimum for EGO tools.
Looks great but....... My kobalt has just as good a cut as this with the stock blades.. For real!!!

Not a good comment, this mower has been mowing everyday for 1 year and 2 months with the Dc Motor EGO-2730232001 & dual blade conversion and it’s still running strong… meanwhile my buddies dc motor on his ego lm2135 DC motor part number EGO-2730252001 that is supposed to “handle it” has been replaced by ego 3 times on warranty and he barely mows his lawn….
