Define temporary for me? Is 3 years in a 20 year career can be considered temporary. It makes 15% of his whole career. Kohli's bad form in 2014 was temporary.
P.S.- No, I don't want kohli out of odi and Test, cuz we need big runs in those formats and a class player is needed there. But in t20 I don't need a player to score 100 run or 80 runs, all I need is a player to score quick 30-40 runs, and there are many players in the queue to do it.

Secondly, We all know that t20 is better suited for youngsters, Dhoni showed that with his young team in 2007. No Sachin, Ganguly, zaheer were required to win that world cup, however big of a class players they were.
1. What exactly do you mean when you say he is out of form for 3 years? He has been out of 100s since Nov 2019, but out of form only since WTC Final last year. That's just 1 year.
2. No, T20 isn't a format for a quick 30 or 40. A quick 30-40 can be very impactful in a 150 run game, or if 2 or 3 players score 30-40s in a single game, that can be useful on flat tracks. But that doesn't happen often. So you need 1 player to hold one end up and give you a 60-80 run knock off 40-50 balls, so others can play around him and thus take the match deep while still keeping up with the scoring rate.
3. Hooda didn't do anything wrong, dropping him was senseless. But what did Pant do to deserve the opening slot. Would have made way more sense if Kohli opened and Pant was dropped. Pant hasn't achieved 20% of what Kohli has in T20 Internationals, and his current form in LOIs isn't any better than Kohli's, only worse to be fair.
4. No, it's a false perception that T20 is made for youngsters. MI's 5 titles and CSK's 4 titles weren't exactly won by youngsters. And 2007 was an exception, 2014, 2016 and 2021, all 3 were won by experienced players. Not undervaluing youngsters, but experience isn't a joke and youth isn't a gold mine either. Performace should be the prime criteria
5. When exactly did Kohli NOT PERFORM in T20 Internationals, barring the two innings against England. 5 fifties in 9 innings before that, seems not just good enough, but actually pretty brilliant.

Dhawan is under pressure of getting dropped. He is playing cautiously. Playing for the country after a long gap and that too in England. It's not an easy go. Next match he will fire for sure.
