It's such a pleasure to see you diving into our Bavarian beers while having one of them on my couch😂 keep on enjoying our beers like we do it every day. Greetings from Bavaria, Toni
Nobody seems to be buying them in my local Aldi. All the Erdingers and Paulaners are gone but still loads of these and they are the best ones! Hoping they might get reduced to clear the shelves soon, in which case I'll fill the fridge!
i live in Eastern Europe, they stock them in one of the small markets since 1 year. My favorite with Tegenseer Spezial. Sadly the don't import Tegenseer in my country so I indulge when in Detschland only...
I grabbed 2 boxes of 12 Benediktiner Hells and 12 bottles of the Weissbier couple weeks ago when the were stocked in the local Aldi. I've drank 12 bottles of the Hells & 6 bottles of the Weissbier and really enjoyed them, the rest are put away for xmas. Also have 8 bottles of the Erdinger Oktoberfest Weissbier left, i drank 4 and thought it was really good, the rest are away for xmas. Not sure which weissbier i prefered to be honest.
I called to three Aldis in Manchester today and the Hell lager was sold out. There was one bottle of Erdinger Oktoberfest left on the shelf. I'll have to buy the Hell's on line now for a little bit extra, I've seen it for around £21 for 6 bottles. Thanks again for the heads up in this beer, it's fantastic.
Had both of these the other day and totally agree with your review . . I walked by cause couldn’t be bothered with more rip of beer , until I looked and realised these were genuine! 😊Absolutely awesome to see these in Aldi . They absolutely need to keep getting these in . Two absolutely great beers . Cheers Simon . 🍻
i live in Eastern Europe, they stock them in one of the small markets since 1 year(costs 1.50 gbp). My favorite with Tegenseer Spezial. Sadly the don't import Tegenseer in my country so I indulge when in Detschland only...
These 2 beers appear to be a permanent fixture in my Aldi since being introduced with Oktoberfest. They’re now sat with all the other beers/alcohol on the shelf when they were originally with all the other Oktoberfest beers in a different part of the store. There’s a few Spatens but they’re just in open boxes on the floor until they run out I reckon.
Hi. I bought these beers based on your recommendation from the earlier Aldi Oktoberfest video. As you say, great beers both (especially the Hell) and hope they're back around next year. PS. Minor pronunciation point though, think it's BenediktEENER. Keep up the good work! 👍
my local ALDI was bulldozed and they are building a brand new shop on the same site, so 1 full year without sales shows how well the budget supermarkets are doing these days, I have a LIDL nearby but not quite as good in my opinion.
Liked the Hells, got another bottle this week and one of wheat beers after seeing your review too. Drinking the wheat now, it's very bland, really disappointing.
Both are fantastic i bought more of the erdinger festbier as you seemed to rate that higher but found i much prefer the Benidictiner weissbier. Lovely flavour to it
I picked up a couple of bottles of both along with a few other beers aldi put out for oktoberfest a couple of weeks back. I might pop out to see if they have any left. Its great to see quality german beer at affordable prices, shame you cant get these all year round.
My Aldi only had the Paulaner and spaten, so I bought maybe 8 Paulaner...to which the wife did this 👀 2 weeks later on they had the benedikner etc So clearly the staff just tossed it out into the store ad hoc. The benedikner hells is lovely drop👌
These beers look so crisp and refreshing. I don't mind Lidl releasing the Oktoberfest box further into October.....it keeps it going longer! These are better value than most supermarket craft beer in 2024...
That weissbeer was shocking to me had no weiss character at all. More of a kellerbier with a bit of pepper and clove back end but a bit being the operative word
They were/are £2.49 a bottle. 99% of people cannot tell the difference between these and beers that cost £1.49 in Aldi. That extra £1 a bottle soon adds up over a week/month/year.
The Helles is a fantastic beer. Sick and tired of this hazy IPA movement with cans designed by children. What happened to bitters, milds and ruby ales? Beers that the UK does better than anyone.

Please don't compare the price of craft beer to Eurpean bottle lager - if people keep doing so all it will do is raise the price of the bottled lager and no-one wants that
@@alangoodlad6869 interesting as I was in Munich for a week a month ago and that's how it was pronounced in the beer gardens I visited. But given your experience I'm guessing I misheard?

I wish the U.K. would pass a purity law for our home brewed beers
Too much corruption
Agreed it's madness they don't stock them year round they are two Super Bottles of Beer 👍
Tried the Hell yesterday, fully agree with you it’s a fantastic Beer.
Outstanding beers. I'd happily pay £3 plus for these if they were in all the time. So much better than the muck they put in that's brewed in the UK.
It's such a pleasure to see you diving into our Bavarian beers while having one of them on my couch😂 keep on enjoying our beers like we do it every day. Greetings from Bavaria, Toni
Both superb beers. Like you say, it would be great to have these on the shelves all year.
You have opened my eyes to quality German beers, thanks!

you can't go wrong with either, fantastic beers... still on the Lowenbrau Oktoberfest here, 6 pack for 3.99... oof

I agree.. Aldi should keep them in stock.
Thanks for your reviews the benediktor weissbier is beautiful. Ten out of ten.

Hit Lidl for the Spaten helles....it's good beer!
Ocado do both Benediktiner beers 3 for £6 at the moment.
@@Martin-lp4ygDoesn't stock it now 😐

I used to love making my own beer, lager and ale....
The smell n the excitement to see the end result was super....
Totally agree with your verdict, cracking beer. Will be sad when its gone and we have to wait another year for it ... hopefully
Got me some Benediktiner Hell today. Want wait to knock it back

I got these from aldi and I really enjoyed them. gonna get more if there still in stock.
just been to aldi and got the last 2 bottles. gonna try old Trafford aldi tomorrow
Both of them are really good. Nice review! 👍🍻
Was really disappointed with the wheat beer thought it was watery and tasteless in my opinion , not tried the hells yet
Totally agree. Hells is a good drop, the wheat I wouldn't bother with again.
If you haven't compared all the weissbiers you can get your hands on, please do. I'd be interested to hear your opinion on them.
There is a video for that on my channel
Just in case nobody has already mentioned this, these are available through Adnam's stores and website, all year round, subject to availability
Sweet, I'll be looking into that for sure.

The weissbier is the better of the two i put it up against lidls petronas which like you i consider good and it beat it hands down
Both are fantastic i bought more of the erdinger festbier as you seemed to rate that higher but found i much prefer the Benidictiner weissbier. Lovely flavour to it
Excellent review. £2 a bottle for great beer is a real bargain. Much better than the craft beer IPA beers - can’t stand them!

Had both really enjoyed both , found the hells hard to get again when I went to buy more
Im on my 9th bottle of the oktoberfest 10 pack. Every one of them have been top notch
Reading the label, it's BenedikTINER...like the Benedictine monks. Sorry to be pedantic but I know you like things proper!
Hi si!I also love my german beer wiess beer espesial oopa bit of spanish there I nowam trying the Crystal range of wiess and they are just exellent
I have a local booths store to me regularly stock the benedikliner hells fantastic beer
Which one? I've never seen it and would love to have a regular supply of them both if Aldi don't keep it in stock.

@@ianrawsthorne2764 cheers pal, I usually go the Clitheroe one and haven't seen rhem there.
They were 2.95 in my local Aldi in Glasgow. All gone, however.
I got these from Ocado when they were on 3 for £6 so only £2 a bottle. Don't think the offer of on now and the regular price is £2.49
You would like the beer I’m having as I watch. It’s a hazy IPA from Whitman brewery out of Saratoga New York, called: “ride for ruin”
Love the reaction to the Helles 😂
My aldi never had it
2.70 on Ocado, currently 3 for £6
Never understood the want of banana and clove in Weisbiers....I know its the yeast but not to my liking tbh....
Those beees are just a shadow of what they used to be when made at Benediktiner Kloster.
Benediktiner Hell, £2.49 in Aldi, Scotland. I wasn't amazed by it TBH.
Commented right at the end while watching and then you gave a 10/10 . Ha ha . Don’t think I’ve ever seen all them fingers 🤣👌🏻
These are good beers, part of the bit bitburger group. Hadn't seen them in the UK before
Blue Label one is like milk! If you started drinking with this these two beers then most after it would be downhill!
Great Hells
Cant understand why they dont sell them all year round. They fly off the shelves
Can anyone comment on the Stonewall Inn IPA £6.10 a pint in my local !!!

easy tell the difference
The difference is night and day for people who know their beers. People who drink Fosters will obviously not...
@@karlos55555 that's my point. Most people go to Aldi for a bargain, not high quality beers
must get me some of that 🍺
Some away for Xmas 🤔🤔🤔😀
Why do we get so ripped off in this County.
