  • Way to Fix any Saniflo Clogged Stuck Motor without Having to Take the Whole Thing Apart.
Quick Easy Fix Everyone Should and Anyone Could Do Before Taking More Drastic Measures or Calling an Expert (that will charge extra for do do duty).
Warning: Wear gloves, shut off the power and be safe and careful around human waste. I'll never forget when I litterly plugged in my sewage pump in California while looking down the discharge pipe to test if I had fixed it BIG Sh@tty mistake don't make the same one!
This worked on my Saniplus US version but should work with any Saniflo model. It had sat empty for several years and after installed under a drywall box it would not engage and just a humming buzzing sound. By running hot water through it and turning the power on and off multiple times it still would not run. Sucked all the water out, every drop out of the bottom, with a shop vac tried but was unable to turn blades by gloved hand or screwdriver. Ran more hot water through it and after turning the power on, then off then wait 3 sec repeated after 3 cycles 1/2 hp motor became unstuck and was able to pump and spin freely. Took about 7 pints to engage motor from completely empty but it is designed to never be dry. It only took a little over a pint to engage the motor so it holds ~6 pints at all times. When it does dry out then the sludge can cause the motor to be stuck as in my situation. If it works for you let me know or give a thumbs up.

Don't put too hot water in these machines as it can damage the motor. Nothing over about 40°C.
