- Due to the accumulation of fly ash, a residue from the coal fired North Chennai Thermal Power station, the air, water and soil in Kattukuppam along the banks of the Kosasthalaiyar river and Seppakkam have been contaminated. The once broad and deep Kosasthalaiyar river has become narrow. There are several species of fish and crab that have disappeared due to the continuous erosion of the mangroves. Despite alerting the authorities, there has been not much done to conserve the rich marine diversity. The pollution has increased manifold over the years.

You should also propose some ideas/plans at the end of video, for the problem shown in video. That would be a really good touch.
Like Fly ash can be used in cement industry.

That's right... Residual ash can be converted to bricks..also nhai is sourcing a lot of these for their road projects...

@@abc_cba first of all , l am an atheist. Secondly , yes l am culturally hindu. In ancient times , cow was considered a very useful Animal. That's why it is considered sacred. Cow provides you milk like mother for the rest of your life. That's why. I see nothing wrong in it. You want to eat , you may. I don't judge you neither should you.

I think the fly ash can be used as raw material for making fly ash bricks which is cheap and more quality than red soil brick

The problem is not they run operations there, it's just the wastage carrying pipes leak, it's just like if any of our household pipe leak, we would just take care of it right? This just shows how they just don't care.
