Documental realizado por el director de cine Eric Green sobre tres de las bandas más representativas del shoegaze británico: My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins y The Jesus and Mary Chain. Más en: / mybloodyvalentineperu
This is the first-ever documentary about one of the most influential music movements of the 20th century.
The true inside story of these bands in their own words, with concert and video footage, home videos, tour projections, interviews and testimonials.
This is the film fans have been waiting years for.
I have noticed that anyone who listens to or creates shoegaze music has to be glittery eyed and dreamy because that type of music alone is other worldly. I truly believe shoegaze musicians are channeling some kind of sparkly pink energy. sooo pretty!!! :-)
It's called "psychedelic drugs".
I've finally heard all My Bloody Valentine members speak! Debbie has a nice voice.
Besides the documentary on Creation Records, this is my shoegaze documentary DREAM COME TRUE!!!
Seriously, shoegaze is my favorite genre of music.
I believe that end quote was actually said of The Velvet Underground originally.
ChurKirby correct
Yep, by Eno
It was
That's why it was used in the trailer - because Shoegaze owes a debt of influence to the sonic experimentation pioneered by the Velvet Underground, and then went on to have enormous influence of it's own.
I don't like to say this, but no other shoegazing band comes near the level of My bloody valentine. I've spent years of looking for music that is just slightly similar to it, but i don't find it. Yeah, slowdive and ride are awesome, but in their own particular way. mbv is in an entire other level.
Listen to Fleeting Joys. Not mbv but sonically v amazing
Thom Rayner yeah absolutely fleeting joy is like mixed Mbv with Slowdive
What about Catherine Wheel or Curve?
DIIV- For the Guilty
Listen to in the presence of nothing by Lily’s it came pretty damn close if you ask me
Cool, I've gotta see this movie!
The footage of Wayne was brilliant. I can't wait to see more of that in the film.
1:28 that's BRIAN ENO to V.U. . . . VU started it all
Thank you so much, I was trying so hard to make that out
Cocteau Twins
"If Nancy Sinatra had Einstürzende Neubauten as a backing band, that's kinda like how we wanted to sound."
Sound Accomplished.
Thank you. I love Jim Reid but god I only heard like 20% of that
@masterlowsferatu band: Medicine; album: Shot Forth Living; song: One More
Their influence fell heavily on my shoulders I could claim to have a band by my lonesome & loveless!
Wonderful documentary about the power of shoegaze and dream pop. They’ll never make music quite like this.
where i can watch this movie??
If the whole world watched this...
{Knew what I know
Saw what I see
Heard what I hear...}

Espero que pronto saquen un nuevo álbum, es una banda que la llevo en mi corazón, me encanta ❤

I was a young man in the early 90's. I wanted to write songs like Adam Franklin & Kevin Shields and marry Toni Halliday.
Am I alone here?
Does anyone know where to watch this?
Expecting to see Bilinda. If she isn’t in it, I don’t have much interest in watching the documentary on this band.
What's the track in the background??
Idk
Shoegaze en Perú? ♡

Sí hay
Maynard Keenan should be praising them all (that includes Trent Reznor and Corgan).
Its like jazz XD
i saw this at the silent movie theater in melrose and i gotta say, it was a mess and piss poorly produced.
I sadly have to agree. It affected the fact that the production started circa 2007 when UA-cam was different. Nowadays you find even better videos and information on the genre in some certain videos around the web.
The only interesting thing were the interviews and some look dated (like Rob Smith's one for instance)
I can't believe they forgot "Galaxie 500" in that movie😕
If there’s a movie about slowcore, they’ll be there for sure
